300+ on PTCL from a month

I even complained to them and sent them an email containing the server IPs and traceroutes and after all that they tell me that they have forwarded my request for fastpath and I was so done at that point, just glad SF finally made it here. Btw which game are you referring to?

Apex and BFV. These used to have 90-100 ping on Singapore servers but now I am forced to play on EU. And yes, complaining about these gaming and latency related issues to them is of no use at all.

Any Answer? today ptcl maintenance guy connected the new modem Wireless N300 with same wire.

Hi guys,

My connection is ASDL. and i requested PTCL to upgrade to VSDL. ASDL Connection is closed since 24 hour. Tomorrow maintenance guy will Install VSDL.

My question is maintenance guy told me, The wire does not need to change. He is friend of my Uncle.

I read comment on few youtube videos. The wire also need to change.

Post a picture of ur line stats on ur modem admin page. It should show if ur on vdsl.

You are on vdsl. Your line stats are decent too.

Same thing happened to me , They have introduced a new system which measure your line and than upgrade your package . Unfortunately it is the most dumbest system ever . I called them to upgrade my package 25 mb having the best line profile they said I have to wait for at least a week they will check my line and if there is no disconnection they will upgrade my package .
So , its pretty hard to upgrade your package .

I am having very low upload speed on my 6mb DSL although the sync rate is usual 1094kbps up and 7166kbps down. Download speed is fine. Upload speed at max goes to 50-60 kb/s. Are there any issues reported?

On VDSL you should get 50% of your download speed and 75% on fiber.
Anywhoo on VDSL your line stats matter the most ans you can get as low as 10% if the line fails to carry load
I have 25mb VDSL and should be getting 12mb upload but my line only handles 2 mb upload.

If your line stats support it you shoukd be getting around 6000KBPS to 6500KBPS download speed.

Hmm i see 6500 KB/sec. Well i just today got upgraded to 50Mbps vdsl2 but my speed is fluctuating between 3800-5800 (Using internet download manager)
(sometimes for like 1-2 seconds speed goes upto 6000 KB/sec but that is very rare).
My line stats are good SNR is (20 down "[FONT=&quot]51599[/FONT]" & 12 up "[FONT=&quot]25799[/FONT]").
Speed test is showing 45ish down and 23ish up.
On a torrent with 500 seeders in pool i am getting only 3.5MB/sec which is almost half the speed i should be getting [Also with 25mbps connection i was getting 3.0MB/sec on same torrent) <<This explains that i am not getting more actual speed with new package instead im still in same old "Sharing Ratio" group of fixed bandwidth which is shared between 8 users or something like that>>
Also i have noticed if i play a 1080p on youtube while torrent was running at 3.5MB/sec my torrent speed goes down to 600KB/sec and stays low even after 2-3 min and gets fixed only if i close the video tab...
My point is either its just me or ptcl is doing some sort of clever(unfair) throttling total speed 24/7 in some weird (unknown to me) fashion.
Now the question is Is anyone getting like 4mb/sec or 5mb/sec or 6mb/sec on torrents? or are u all getting throttled 24/7 like me?

Last night at 12:00 they downgraded my connection.
Ptcl Cares (Twitter) guy told me that it was because connection was not stable (What a joke).
Today i called 1218 and the guy told me same thing "Your line does not support 50Mbps. (Another Joke)
I have maybe not perfect but really good stats "Attainable Rate is 100Mbps"
And also i got zero disconnections and almost zero correctable and "super frame errors"

Damn those are really good line stats. I had the same problem when upgrading to 25mb package. They kept saying line is not supported even though my line supported 80mb down and 40mb up. Eventually my father called someone from the inside and got it sorted. Ptcl has really ruined their package changing system. I dont remember having to go through so much trouble when they first introduced 15mb package and i changed to it.

(on 39.x.x.x and 119.x.x.x pool netflix runs on 240p and 360p... super weird #ITS PTCL)
But they dont have a system advance enough to understand the bit complicated reason and the problem...
Now because of super poor streaming of netflix on PTCL i am thinking about switching to another ISP...
My line stats are not what they should be "Mini Exchange thingy" is few streets away and they installed new copper wires from that exchange to all poles including the one i am connected to... so i was expecting atleast 70mbps upload. tho download is fine but when there is power cut downstream goes up to 140mbps Strangely

yes i had same problem , i called 1218 and guy said they have some service outage problem idk if its again submarine cable fault or something else.
