I don't get why Jazz is not upgrading the other cities with CA. How long has it been since they launched it?In rural KP, where previously one could only get Jazz 900 MHz 2G, they have refarmed some of it for 3G.
Speed is like 2-3 Mbps on speed test, but compared to 2G, it works perfectly. Just the right amount of speed you need to stay connected without getting frustrated that it takes 30+ seconds for one WhatsApp message to send.
Has very good and stable indoor coverage as well with occasional fallbacks to 2G that can be avoided by forcing the phone to 3G only mode.
Also noticed that Bani Gala, Barakahu, PN Farms, Bahria Enclave and other surrounding areas of Islamabad are still on 15 MHz of B3 for LTE whereas within Islamabad, the beginning of the motorway and the Airport all have B3 (20 MHz) + B8 (3 MHz) CA for LTE.
With all that being said, Jazz really needs to consider shutting off 2G in big cities, or at least certain parts of big cities, or leave it running on any excess 1800 MHz spectrum that is too small to be used for LTE.
900 MHz is being wasted on 2G.
Jazz has upgraded its 4G to 20 MHz in Faisalabad and Multan, but no CA available across the cities. Reportedly Zong has lanched CA 4G+ in Multan with 20 MHz of Band 3 and 5 MHz band 1. Problem with Zong is that they do not have 900 MHz spectrum now due to some fault. They have swaped it with 6 MHz in 1800 MHz block. Their almost 50% customers are on 4G now so they are utilising their best resources for 4G.I don't get why Jazz is not upgrading the other cities with CA. How long has it been since they launched it?
That said, Zong has started deploying CA at more sites in Pindi (in Gulrez, yes, but not in Bahria where I live... Or I wasn't able to get it to work at my end).
Bonkers.

Zong has begun to deploy CA in Rawalpindi (I see it in Gulrez, DHA 1 and near Giga Mall... Although they only have edge in Giga Mall) and Islamabad (just tested Blue Area, and my phone says so).Jazz has upgraded its 4G to 20 MHz in Faisalabad and Multan, but no CA available across the cities. Anyone knows what Telenor is doing? It is still on 5 MHz band 5 in Faisalabad and Multan. And it still buffers on 480p YouTube videos.Zong has begun to deploy CA in Rawalpindi (I see it in Gulrez, DHA 1 and near Giga Mall... Haven't tested it as such, but will try to in a bit.

Where was this 2600 MHz spectrum hiding all these years.... could've been used for 4G.According to officials, PTA allotted Jazz with a trial spectrum of 100MHz from 2600MHz band for its 5G network. As a result, the company successfully integrated a 5G site to its network, where the live testing of the 5G equipment was showcased to the media.

TDD LTE is best for urban use, best when used as CA with FDD LTE. Band 40 is also supported by all 4G phoned.2600 MHz (B7) is very common.
Almost every carrier in Middle East and Europe uses Band 7.
2300 MHz is only used for TD-LTE, not FDD-LTE which is used currently by all local telcos.
I don't think the phone would enable LTE-A on both SIMs at the same time, especially if mobile data wasn't being used on the Zong SIM.Not sure if you can see this, but in a Nokia 7.1, it shows the bandwidth. Also, note how it says LTE-A against Jazz, and only LTE on Zong.

It depends on mobile to mobile. Samsung does not show 4G+ on less than cumulative 20 MHz spectrum. Similarly Nokia is showing 4G+ in basic 20 MHz of Jazz when there was no CA.Switched the data service to Zong. Still no LTE-A.
I think Mobilink may be engaging in intraband CA while Zong isn't - which is perhaps why the results also vary significantly between the two in the same location... something I suspected long ago but had no way (and still have no way) of knowing.
Pixel 2: screen broke. Waiting for a replacement. Too an iPhone XS to see if I could get used to it... Returned it the next day. Borrowed a cheap Nokia until my screen gets fixed, or until I can afford a new phone.
And now, I realize that once you get used to a flagship processor, getting back onto a mid range chip is painful.
And also, the iPhone is useful for three things only:
1. Battery time
2. Consistent camera experience (you can get other cameras better than the iPhone, but the iPhone is pretty good and consistent as well), and
3. Fancy animations in the apps.
Otherwise, you can do much more on Android and faster (try gesturing the back key on iOS ND on Android, and you'll know what I'm talking about).

I have 20 MHz jazz 4G in Faisalabad and my Galaxy A50 does not show 4G+ sign

There are no such thing as "bad design" bro, its all "artistic vision" nowEternalBlizzard said:Is it just me or people lately seem to defend every bad game design decision made by the devs and try to give bullshit reasons for that? Or perhaps it's because I'm on reddit and discord
