Rampage......................(8.5/10) watched at Vox Cinema, Dubai. Man I really love these monster attacking cities movie and this one was no exception, another hit by Dwanyne Johnson with a bit of humor, the destruction showed was top notch, worth watching in cinema!

Avengers 3: Infinity War...................(8.5/10) watched at Vox Cinema, Dubai. Well I was super hyped to see this movie, however it was not the best Marvel movie, every superhero got to show his/her superpowers except The Hulk, the humor was provided by Drax mostly and man Thanos was one bad ass villain!

Baby Driver (2017)

Thrilling, and fun to watch.
One of the best movies from last year, honestly going into the movie I expected it to be average. The plot seemed not all that exciting and it somehow reminded me of transporter. But Oh Boy, was I in for a ride. Great direction, plot and all the details were well thought out. The songs matched the situations and everything worked beautifully together. Most of all mesmerising performances by the actors.
Kevin Spacey has always had this commanding attitude/style and the role was perfect for him.
And Baby? Oh, baby did you surprise me. He did the role so great, had this intense aura that made you watch him and know his story.

A must watch for anyone looking for an exciting movie. 4/5

Atomic Blonde

Underrated? Yes. Exceptionally Good? No.

But damn it did have some great action sequences and Charlize Theron totally owned the role. Loved her!
I believe this movie does deserve a sequel. 3.5/5

You get a very poignant scene with Thor and Rocket where he is talking about what he lost and he's trying to mask it with Jokes but he just can't. GREAT performance by Chris Hemsworth.

Black Panther (2018)

The MCU has given us tons of different worlds and cultures throughout its 10-year journey so far and I pretty much enjoyed all of em. Whether it was Asgard in the Thor movies (and Sakaar in the case of Ragnarok) or the magical side of MCU in Doctor Strange or the several locations in Guardians of the Galaxy movies etc. In Black Panther, we are introduced to WAKANDA and I think it might be my favorite one yet.

Continuing from Captain America: Civil War, the movie follows T'Challa and company as he becomes the King of Wakanda. I liked Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther in Civil War and been wanting to see more of him and he did not disappoint in his movie. And with several good supporting characters, I really enjoyed the ensemble. Whether it was Martin Freeman and his expanded role from Civil War, or badass General Michone (Danai Gurira), or the tech genius sibling Shuri (Letitia Wright) and her chemistry with T'Challa, or just M'Baku. All of them brought more life to the movie.

And on top of that, the movie actually had a good villain, which is a rarity for MCU. Or rather villains. I enjoyed Andy Serkis as Ulysses Klaue too. And Michael B. Jordan as Killmonger was indeed a breath of fresh air. Loved his performance, and the way they handled his story. Had an awesome theme too which always increased his presence. One negative, though, that he didn't have enough screentime.

The soundtrack was refreshingly good and memorable, relative to the MCU. Some tracks were amazing. The cinematography was good as well, and the epitome of it was the first time you see Wakanda, an awe-inspiring experience. Probably my favorite scene in the movie.

CGI, however, was inconsistent. While it has been used well in several scenes, there are areas where the green screen is way too obvious and it is offputting, making the world less tangible. For big budget movies like these, it's always more annoying, especially when you have movies out there that do it right.
Also, some of the humor didn't always land. The editing could have been snappier as fight scenes sometimes felt like they lack a certain energy. And I wish we got to see more of Wakanda and its culture on the ground level.

Overall, while I do not think this movie is THE BEST IN THE MCU or THE BEST SUPERHERO MOVIE EVER or several of the other overhyped statements that this movie got upon release, similar to how I felt about Wonder Woman as well (overhyped/overrated too much upon release) it's still a solid superhero movie and a great addition to the MCU.

Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

I'm still kinda riding the high I got from this movie. THERE IS SO MUCH IN IT THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY WRITE A THESIS ABOUT THE THINGS YOU LOVED AND WHY.

The hype, the build-up, all of it was unlike anything we have ever seen in cinema and the movie still delivered. As a fan of the MCU, as someone who has been following it since Iron Man 1 back in 2008, and as someone who has pretty much liked all of the 18 movies before this one and has watched many of them several times, this movie truly is a gift.

Combining a decade of content, taking actual risks, and managing to execute it in a way that is surprising and satisfying but also respects what is set-up before, I have to say, MEGA Hats of to the Russo Brothers and the team for giving us this experience. This is how you do it, I'm looking at you The Last Jedi.
Also, while it's not perfect, for what it accomplishes, whatever hindrances I had, they feel all the more minute now.

Thanos actually felt like the biggest threat they ever faced as teased, and from the very first scene no less, and his arc was executed in a fresh and well manner. All the actors were giving their best. The hero groupings were great and made for some awesome moments. Top-notch action, and CGI (for the most part). And amazing cinematography. Nice soundtrack overall using the main awesome Avengers theme OH SO WELL. Surprisingly mostly-good humor. It's crazy when you start thinking how much this movie does well. Can't go into details cause spoilers. Also, deliberately not going into detail because not only is there too much to talk about, there is so much in it, I need at least one rewatch to take it all in.

As of now, this is one of my favorite superhero movies and definitely, one of my favorite MCU entries and could end up being my top favorite. A powerhouse of a superhero film and a testament to how a cinematic universe can ultimately work out if you do it right.

THANK YOU MARVEL STUDIOS. THANK YOU RUSSO BROTHERS.

yes i know, that scene felt real, the one i was talking about felt forced.
Spoiler: show
Think of it as Thor's way of coping with loss, trying to bury it under Humor which he learned from his time with Avengers etc. and it makes sense. The scene with Rocket makes even more sense if you think this way as after all this loss, he just can't fake it.

Game Night (2018)

I love Jason Bateman (huge Arrested Development fan), and I like Rachel McAdams, so these two together in a mystery-crime comedy movie was a must watch for me. And I'm glad to say it was a solid one.

It's about a couple (Bateman and McAdams) who love playing games and being competitive. When Bateman's older brother invites them to a Game Night in his house, things go out of hands.

The thing that was most interesting was the use of cinematography and the accompanying soundtrack. Both were well-done, especially the camera work and it just gave this movie an edge from other contemporary comedies, making it stand out from the crowd. There's an awesome and hilarious long take in the film that legit surprised me. Good stuff.

Couple all that with across the board good performances and chemistry with each other, the ridiculous plot that keeps on moving, the jokes and situations a lot of which do land properly, and you have yourself a thoroughly entertaining movie.

My favorite thing, without a doubt, was Jesse Plemons (discount Matt Damon) as the weird and awkward police character Garry. Every SINGLE scene he was in, he stole it. The subtle camera work in his scenes always enhanced the comedic effect. I LOVED IT!

The movie wasn't perfect, though. Sometimes, the jokes didn't land, the plot and story elements -particularly in the third act- didn't always mesh together with the rest of the film and its flow, and some comedy cliches that didn't work. All that kept it from being a GREAT one.

Overall, it's a solid comedy, and I had a nice time with it. Definitely the type of movie I'll be watching again. Recommended, if you're looking for a comedy/fun movie.

Den of Thieves.......................(8/10) watched in HD, a nice heist movie but I think showing Gerard Butler's personal life was unnecessary but still worth a watch and oh the last gun battle was perfectly shot!

The Commuter.......................(8/10) watched in HD, a typical Liam Neeson action movie saving his family while trying to do something which he is not meant to do! Overall good for time pass I'd say!
