I played The Last of Us Remastered this summer. I hadn't played it on ps3 and man this game is one of the best I have ever played. The story telling, the narrative almost everything about this game kept me on my toes.

ND played all the right strings making a player emotionally attached to Joel and Ellie... Especially the Dear hunting scene where the guy reminds ellie he is looking for a man and a girl who killed his men. That was amazing story building there.

I have high hopes for this game. Unlike UC, TLoU has a lot more potential in story telling.

Next Appearance of The Last of Us: Part 2 to be on June 13th?

In the last clip of the TLOU2 trailer, just when Joel enters the room where Ellie is playing guitar, you can see that on the wall there is a series of posters. Recall that in this type of trailer the developers care to show the very last details, reviewing each of the frames to make sure everything is correct before leaving to see the highlight. This is where it is surprising to find a writing in one of these posters dated to June 13, especially if we consider that probably far from being a fluke, the fair of the E3 2017 could take place between 13 and 15 of that same month.

Bruce Straley is not directing The Last of Us: Part 2

On Sunday morning, Sony sent over a statement: “Bruce recently decided to take some much deserved time off after shipping two critically acclaimed games in the last few years. He’s looking forward to returning to the studio soon and jumping back in on his next project.”

Straley, who has been at Naughty Dog for nearly two decades, had previously directed The Last of Us alongside Druckmann. In early 2014, the pair took over Uncharted 4 after longtime director Amy Hennig left Naughty Dog.

The Last of Us Part II Almost Did Not Happen; Story Was Not “Special” Enough: Naughty Dog

According to Neil Druckmann, Creative Director at Naughty Dog, the studio almost gave up on making a sequel to the 2013 classic. Reason being, it was felt that the initial attempts at story weren’t “special” enough.

“Like many of you, we have a deep love for the world of The Last of Us and its characters, and while a sequel may have seemed like a foregone conclusion, that wasn’t the case. We knew that it needed to be a story worth telling and, perhaps more importantly, a story worthy of Joel and Ellie,” he wrote on the official PlayStation blog. “After spending years on different ideas (and almost giving up), we finally uncovered a story that felt special—a story that evolved into an epic journey.”

Sequel to one of the best games ever ND will have to work really hard to make a better sequel considering the perfection of TLOU(Ending etc.).

Naughty Dog/Sony Interactive Entertainment The Last of Us Part 2 will feature Westworld actress Shannon Woodward, she announced today on Twitter.
Woodward tweeted a photo with Neil Druckmann, creative director at The Last of Us Part 2 developer Naughty Dog, earlier today. She is wearing a motion capture suit in the photo; Naughty Dog is renowned for its use of performance capture in games like The Last of Us and the Uncharted series.

Audiences may know Woodward from her role as the sardonic, spunky programmer Elsie Hughes on HBO’s Westworld. Woodward, who describes herself in her Twitter profile as a “legitimate geek,” said in the tweet that she is “embarrassingly over-excited” to be appearing in The Last of Us Part 2.
Neither Druckmann nor Woodward provided any information on the role she’s playing in The Last of Us Part 2. Druckmann simply retweeted the photo with the joke “doesn’t look like anything to me,” a reference to a pivotal moment in the first season of Westworld. We’ve asked Naughty Dog and Sony for details, and will update this article with any information we receive.


The news makes Woodward the third confirmed cast member for The Last of Us Part 2. Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker will reprise their roles as Ellie and Joel, respectively, years after the events of the original game. The Last of Us Part 2 is in development exclusively on PlayStation 4; it does not yet have a release window.

Picked up the Outbreak Day theme for the first one for free, it's ok. Nothing beats the Parappa theme.

I dunno man, the TLoU Outbreak theme looks better to me. The Journey, Persona 5 main character, Horizon Digital Deluxe, Firewatch, and FFVII midgar themes are better too.

The Outbreak theme is good because of the slow guitar riff music that plays but you have to wait like 30 seconds before it gets to that part. Usually i'm in and out of the UI in seconds unless syncing trophies or copying pictures to USB .

The Final Fantasy IX theme is the best theme on PS4 so far just because of that amazing music. I am still not paying $16 for a straight-port of the PC version (which I can already play on my laptop in 1080p with mods for background filters) just for a theme.

lol yeah, that's actually true. I had to turn up the volume to even notice the music at first.

I am still not paying $16 for a straight-port of the PC version (which I can already play on my laptop in 1080p with mods for background filters) just for a theme.

Here's hoping it goes on sale (for like $8) around Christmas or so. If it had proper analog stick support I would've grabbed it day 1, but alas, no dice.
