Asalam o Alekum!

I guess the thread title is self explanatory.

I want to buy a cellphone, budget is not an issue but i don't want to spend ridiculous amount of money on a cellphone.

My Requirements:
- Must be one of the flagships (the recent ones)
- Must be Android [No Iphone (due to its price), No Windows phone (for obvious reasons)]
- Good battery timings
- Good front/rear camera
- 3g, 4g connnectivity
- Good looks
- Good sound quality

The cellphone will be used for:
- Emails
- Text messages and voice calls ( :p )
- For pictures and videos
- Casual gaming (subway surfer type of games)

Can't think of anything else right now.

I have another question as well, is it a better time to buy one? Or should i wait?

I don't know but i am incline towards Samsung Galaxy S6 (Not the Edge).

Following is the list of flagships that i have used in recent times :
1 : Galaxy s6 (Top of the line camera , best processing package , excellent display , average battery , good looking)
2 : LG G4 : (Excellent Camera , Great display , good processing package,SD slot as an added bonus , average battery life , body is a bit on the thicker side and size a tad big for my liking )
3 : Xperia z3 ( Great camera , top of the line battery , close to stock os , best looking of the bunch , sd slot , water proofing as an added bonus , low price )
4 : Asus Zenphone 2 ( Good display , average cameras , excellent price to performance ratio , 4gigs ram , good overall design , average/good battery )
5 : Galaxy note 4 : (Top of the line display , excellent camera,a bit difficult to handle, priced close to the recent flagships, above average battery life )

Lower priced entries :
1 : Lenovo p70 ( 9-11 hours screen on time , amazing battery , average 720p display , good camera , excellent processing package , 2 sim card slots ,sd card slot,4g support , all this in around half the price of the flagships .its selling for around 23-24k nowadays new )
2 : Lenovo K3 note (Good FHD 5.5inch ips display , good back and front cameras , almost the same processing package as the p70,4g support, priced at arround 25k)
3 : Lg G2 and g3 (G2 starts at around 14-15k nowadays with the d802 model coming at around 16-17k , snapdragon 800,32gigs storage , excellent display , great battery , excellent dev support, great camera, G3 is going around the 23-27mark ,Excellent QHD display , average battery life , above average camera, great dev support, good processing package)

If you want a phone now , get the galaxy s6 , if you want to wait for newer models of phones , get the ones in the lower price segment :)

Which version of the S6 should i get? 920F is commonly available.

Also I'll wait a couple of days for some more suggestions.

Also dual sim is not a requirement.

Im surprised u didnt include One M9 in ur list. It is a great phone as well. That 1080p display still looks great on it. See the review videos on youtube, reviewers are comparing it with s6 and g4 and even they are claiming that One M9 screen is still awesome. M9 has a great built, great speakers, smooth OS(still a bit better than TouchWiz) and great hardware as well. The only thing where it lacks is the camera. Camera is very 'meh' when compared to S6. But for casual photography its just fine. Get a camera for photography if ur a camera geek.
OP should also consider M9.
But still personally I'd go for S6. Samsung's done a really good job this time. The design overhaul is amazing on S6 and the built quality has improved as well.

Bro one thing, personally not in favor of s6, heats up just by listenin to music and after 3-2 days the call audio/my (s6) speakers just became shit, battery time not that goood also. Just putting my experience out there, sold it later on.

If I were to get a phone now, I would chose one gen. old flagship, like the M8, Note 4, OPO or even the Mi Note unless a 64-bit processor is must.

M8 has everything you need except for the camera on the other hand Note 4 meets your requirements, but its size might be an issue for you, same is the case with OPO and Mi Note.

How much battery backup did it gave you? and on what type of usage?

Also about the heating issue, i read on GSMarena's review that it runs cooler that other phones that use the Snapdragon 810 chip, now that has got me confused.

Note 4 all the way if its size doesnt bother you...otherwise Galaxy S6(DONT go for S6 Edge)
I considered getting one in the previous batch of flagships but the price difference wasn't that much until i went on to buy a used one that is why i decided against it.

I've also considered Note 4, i may adjust to the size but then again i like the S6's design more.

If i were to get an HTC i would consider the M9.

BTW if you had two choices infront of you Note 4 or Galaxy S6, which one would you choose? Lets just leave the design and size etc for this comparison, any technical reason to choose one or the other since price of both is almost the same.

Galaxy S6 is newer has the best camera in android, better resale value and definitely more future proof, i,ll give it that but when i see Note 4 features(Gorgeous Display+S Pen+Better Battery life+MicroSD slot) it can be considered too...SO in short if you want better camera, better design go for S6 eyes closed OR if You want something more than just a cellphone go for Note 4.

The Galaxy S6 hands down, it is an ideal phone overall.
