Awesome, awesome game. Just finished it. To those who have also finished it:

Spoiler: show
Was there any post-credits scene? I skipped the credits so I'm not sure.

Ending was perfect though.

When Joel falls down and you have to start the generator to open that key card door, did you guys fight the infected?
I did the first two failed attempts but then I just decided to run and made it, it was the most intense experience in the entire game

lol yeah, I ended up fighting them, although I probably should've just made a run for it instead.

Here's what I did - the moment I turned on the generator, I ran upstairs into one corner and waited for the zombies to arrive. When they did, I took them down in small groups using all 3 of the Molotovs I had. A very non-conservative move, I know, but the auto-save had already overwritten my save file by the time it was over, and so I couldn't re-do that segment.

Finished it today 10/10. Damn good AI (y) and this game lived upto my expectations.

P.S: and thank you Altaf Bhai for the hartaal.

Yeah that was the most intense exp they took joel by surprise. I ran off killing 1-2 infected and made a strategy to counter that big monster via molotovs and bullets.

Thoughts on a sequel?

I do think turning this into a franchise would be a major disservice to it self, that said if they make one I would eat it up, but it would have to be about these two or just Ellie, the thing I DO NOT WANT is someone else's story set in this universe.

Personally I would love to see a feature length CGI slice of life style prequel of Joel and his daughter

With the kind of buildup Joel and Ellie's characters have received, it's less likely that we'll see someone else as the protagonist in a potential sequel. Otherwise, they'd probably have killed off either of Joel or Ellie towards the end and turned it into a tragic conclusion of sorts.

There are going to be 2 single-player DLCs as well. I'm curious to know where those would fit in. If they're post-ending, then that makes things a whole lot more interesting, imo.

@GoldenHawk what are your thoughts on this?

Personally, I think DLC will be set during some of the season change time skips or during the 20 years separating the games start and the present.

Perhaps showing how Joel and his brother separated or one of Tess and Joel's missions together.

What were everyone's favorite gameplay sequences?

Out of the ones I can recall, it was either of these two:

1. The part where you have to infiltrate the sniper's hideout, making your way across while trying not to get sniped. Then, entering the building, searching and killing the sniper, and then sniping some clickers/runners as Ellie, Henry, and Sam make their way to safety - it was a pretty tense situation that reminded me of an episode from The Walking Dead.

2. The part where Ellie and the leader of those crazy man-eating thugs (forgot his name) play a cat-and-mouse game of stealth was simply brilliant. There comes a point when the guy gets really aggressive and starts searching every corner, keeps turning around, and practically doesn't let you get within 3 feet of his radius without spotting you. That was some amazing AI right there.

3. Joel stuck in the basement and having to turn on the generator, only to attract the attention of an entire hoard of rabid clickers/runners/bloaters. Damn, that was probably the most terrifying segment of them all. I ended up killing them all off and wasting some of my supplies.

To an extent, I agree with you. It was kind of abrupt, but at the same time, it was a good setup for a potential sequel (or the forthcoming single-player DLCs, for that matter).

1. When Ellie is being hunted near the shoreside (that was the shore, right? I was too involved to notice) every bullet and arrow mattered to me at that moment

2. All the walking talking explorationy bits.

Edit:
All and all I think I would say Suburbs is my favorite chapter minus the high school gym battle, which felt like a traditional game thing to do.

It was a very thought provoking ending. Point is, when Joel rescues Ellie, she asks him in the car about the Fireflies. At that point he lies to her that the Fireflies have given up hope and are not looking for the cure. He knows Ellie is a grown up way before her time and had she known that her life is the cure to this infection, she would've given her life away in a heartbeat.

Joel obviously glues onto her like a father. At the hill Joel tells Ellie that everyone needs something to look forward to in life. For him it's Ellie. But what about Ellie? He gives her hope by lying about the Fireflies and gets her motivated to keep on going on.

I did feel the end was too abrupt. A DLC could do justice but at the end it's a DLC. Mass Effect 3's DLC didn't do anything at all for me. However Naughty Dog has claimed that they will not make a sequel. At least for some time.

1- Starting 10-15 mins

2- Gym Battle with that monster kinda zombie.

3- Generator being the trigger sequence.

4- Pepsi-Man kinda chase on the broken bridge by the truck.

5- Sniper battle.

6- Battle with fireflies to save Ellie at the end. That was epic!

sniper battle was my favorite. it kinda took me to COD mode, and also reminded me of that saving private ryan bell tower scene :D apart from that i loved the way ellie was picking fights with bill (lmao)

one more thing, in the end joel lies to ellie right ? about being other people like her?

I just finished the game 2 hours ago. :')
I'm sooo glad Ellie didn't die. All those freaking 'spoilers' going on before the game were even released, none of them were true. At least the ones I read.
I finished it on Hard, and didn't even skip the credit hoping there'd be some cutscene. ._.
