Sony PlayStation 5 : Play Has No Limits

PS5 Release Date, PS5 Games, PS5 Power vs Xbox One X, PS5 Price Speculation - All the PS5 Info lets discuss

Here are all the rumors and speculation surrounding the PS5, including a potential PS5 release date, power, and launch games of Sony's inevitable PS5. Is the PS5 releasing in 2019?

What we Want From the PS5 Speculation aside, what would we ideally want from the PS5? Backwards compatibility for PS4 games would be brilliant, simply because you'd be able to carry over classics like the Shadow of the Colossus remake to the next console generation. We've seen how well Microsoft is handling backwards compatibility with its Xbox One consoles (including getting amazing results updating Xbox 360 games to run in 4K on Xbox One X), and something similar on PS5 would be great.

In terms of pure power, the PlayStation 5 has to significantly exceed the power of the Xbox One X. This means featuring more games running in 4K at 60FPS. If the PS5 can deliver about 10 TF of power we'd be happy, as this would allow devs to create games that look a generation ahead of what we've got now.

But what would the dream launch lineup be for the PS5? Death Stranding and The Last of Us: Part 2 are hugely anticipated blockbuster games, with the former especially looking to push the performance of whatever system it's on to the very limit. We've also mentioned Ghost of Tsushima and a sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn, and the latter would be the perfect way to kick off a new console cycle from Sony.

^ I think both the machines look fairly ugly in horizontal orientation. Vertically however, the PS5 looks bomb. Its like a machine from the future lol. The series X doesnot look bad by any stretch but i think its for people that are more into minimalist stuff.

Yeah I agree. The disc drive on the PS5 is in a pretty weird spot when placed horizontally. The Digital edition seemed to look better horizontally in the renders. Still waiting to see an actual picture, though.

The ps5 reminds of terrible Alienware cases of 2005 era - the cheap looking plastic doesn't do it any favor too. The series X looks minimalistic which is nice but it's understandable if it looks boring to some people

Yep. Cheap tacky Alienware best describes it in all orientations.

It also makes the OG Xbox look small lmao

New NXGamer video detailing the recent string of patches some PS4 games have received and what it translates to for the PS5.

Interesting enough, I did not know that Days Gone's install size has been cut in half via patching since the game's launch. Went down from 64~GB to 37~GB now.

Sony's probably experimenting with this stuff to help minimize game installs for the 700~ GB only available space for users.

Controller Impressions are super impressive across the board. I think haptics are one of the most underrated things whenever we talk about controller in general and its great that Sony has put special emphasis on the controller this time around.

Another great review of the controller by Dave Lee. Also, the console next to Dave Lee looks an absolute beast.

Not all of Ubisoft’s PS4 games will work on PS5

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Star Trek Bridge Crew, and more will miss the new PlayStation generation

All of Ubisoft’s Xbox One games will be backwards compatible on the Xbox Series X, but eight PlayStation 4 titles will not make the jump to PlayStation 5, according to a blog post on Ubisoft Connect.

“Most of our back catalogue of games will have backward compatibility between the next and current generation of consoles,” Ubisoft’s statement reads, “with a few exceptions.”

Those exceptions are Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy Pack, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles India, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles China, Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Russia, Risk, Star Trek Bridge Crew, Werewolves Within, and Space Junkies — the space-themed VR shooter. Owners of those games for the PS4 will need to keep that console up and around if they want to keep playing.

But it’s not all bad news. Some of Ubisoft’s games that do boast backwards compatibility with the next generation will also have cross progression. Players will be able to transfer their PS4 save files in For Honor, The Division 2, The Crew 2 and the upcoming PS4 versions of Just Dance 2021 and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake to PS5 consoles.

Following this news, Ubisoft's stock price went up by very minute, borderline negligible, points when certain individuals from PG rushed to buy ubisoft's stock and will probably be citing Ubisoft as a great game company in their posts...

What is peoples obsession with Battle Royale genre. 6 minutes to find a match, 3 minutes to setup a match, 2 minutes to land, 10 minutes for scavanging maybe 2 3 gunfigts and its over. Multiplayer landscape is looking absolute dogshit.
I tried playing Apex Legends once. Couldn't find a gun for 5 minutes straight. If I found a gun, I couldn't find the right ammo for it. Got killed fighting with my fists. Uninstalled it the next day.

After I watched it, I never felt like i watched a show. It was a friggin journey. I got way too attached to Thorfinn and seeing him grow up and find himself and get rid of all the negativity inside of him was just pure bliss.
