Oh man, particles up the ass ! . But you can see the native resolution sacrifice they had to make to get 60 FPS and all those particles on sceen.

This starts with temporal reconstruction to 1440p, followed by a checkerboarding pass to deliver a 2160p output.
TAA upsampling AND checkerboarding? And people here want a 120fps mode. Yikes.

There can be slight stutters in general traversal, while there can also be area-dependent hits to frame-rate when the particle effects really kick in.
Dat next-gen I/O on Sweeney Todd's engine 🤭

Going through doors doesn't always result in slight stutter. It's an occasional thing. Considering the speed of traversal and the lack of loading screens, it's very impressive stuff.

1. Rare occurrence. VG Tech's performance analysis shall reveal all
2. lmao @ ant-woman running. Yikes!
3. Been playing all day today. Even put the console in rest mode with the game suspended. Zero crashes or issues here. 🤷‍♂️

Sam's tweet is from today, and no the update wasn't rolled out to the press in advance. I believe only Microsoft has done this with their games.

Proof that I experienced zero crashes or issues after 7 hours of play time

Note: the "Go online to use this feature" error happens because games are disconnected from their online server when the console is in rest mode.

Also April 29. Maybe you're confusing a second new patch as the "day one" update. This does not make the DF stats inaccurate 🤷‍♂️

Yar necro itna to nit pick na karo ab :p

Avg frame rate of 59.7 and avg frame time of 99.5% in the crucial 16.67ms range, these are better results than most AAA projects.

Averages haven't been a meaningful metric for a while now. Even CerebralTiger knows that :p

Frame insertion tech was in development for 6 years. Intel and AMD haven't even started researching for a similar solution.

Its based on the same architecture, if anything PC has higher tier options than what is available in consoles. RDNA2 doesn't have dedicated RT cores so its going to lack behind Intel and Nvidia. Lets see if RDNA3 changes that.

Not universal but the most widely adopted. You can even get DLSS working in games that atleast support FSR, so the list grows larger.
    Link
  • Chandoo Chandoo:
of course, but then again DLSS isn't universally supported either, neither is the, seemingly on paper, easier to implement FSR 2.0

  • Necrokiller Necrokiller:
The ideal world lacks in games supporting it too

but so far that ideal world completely excludes dx11

  • XPremiuM XPremiuM:
If you want the best performance, go for Nvidia. If you want the best value, go for AMD. Intel at this point is only for hipsters. That will probably change in a few years though. But for now, Intel isn't a good choice for gamers.

  • Chandoo Chandoo:
it seems like its only good if you only want to play DX12 or Vulkan games right now
