Hi Guys, I am happy to announce that Cantt Exchange Rawalpindi (Near GPO) has been upgraded and they are now providing transformed packages

5MB = 2000 + Tax
10MB = 2500 + Tax
20MB = 3000 + Tax
50MB = 4000 + Tax
100MB = 5000 + Tax

I am currently using 20Mbps VDSL connection and I am really enjoying it. My Live Streams are working great. you can follow me on twitch if you want to see my live streams and enjoy

My family got VDSL installed. It worked fine for a day only. Then they got storm fiber and they are happy with it. 20mbps up/down + fiber to the home.

Yes indeed you are right. but most of the ppl only have PTCL as an option.

I got my connection upgraded from 12 mbps adsl to vdsl 20 mbps and it happened like instantly, despite me thinking that it would take a few days so they could upgrade the router etc (i have the AMG1312-T10B router that PTCL gave me which I thought does not have the option for VDSL), and it also shows on the my router page that my connection is 20478kbps down.

lastly, my snr seems to have gone down the moment my connection was upgraded, any idea on that?

On your statistics page , it should say if its VDSL or ADSL . if they havent changed the router then most probably its not VDSL my friend

the router you have is ADSL for sure.
dropping SNR margin is obvious when you upgrade the package.

yeah its adsl just checked, called them and they said that they've put in a request to change it to vdsl transformed instead of adsl transformed with a new router etc.

but isn't less snr margin bad?

SNR of 4 Mbps in ADSL2+ and VDSL2 20 Mbps , its almost same.

4Mbps ADSL2+ SNR margin is not same as 20Mbps.

Yes its bad but will not have any problems. I have 20Mbps connection and my SNR margin 15-17 only but i dont get any issues at all.

did they install a vdsl router at your home coz with out it does not work . cantt exchange might have vdsl cards installed to bad morgah exchange does not --sisgh

yes i already have 8Mbps VDSL connection and then I upgraded to 12Mbps VDSL .
