Haha, I though only I am affected by deviantart blockage.

The real problem is not PTA. It's their report website feature. Which our beloved asshole, idiot and Jahil People report without thinking how it will affect others.

Seriously the problem is those Jahil Moral police Pagri walay idiots who are misleading PTA. PTA itself is just authority. On top of that their head is a douche without a single idea of how internet works.

This recent blocking spree has all been automatic. A server (dedicated) that was solely under my private use and a few other people here was blocked few days back, I can't think of any reason why they would block it other than thinking their system blocks anything whose traffic it can't verify or something, khair then I am assuming things... We need answers and a fix for this crap.

As far as i see it, the problem that i think is there is that PTA and PTCL being techincal...organizations are not led by technical, engineer type people.
its all politics.

practically everything is blocked.
The cause of ^ is as alienx said, the report website feature.

to get what i want now, i usually have to go to REALLY underground websites.
i swear, now any day i expect liveleak to be blocked.

Ghost recon online

I mat be wrong but it hink now they are also blocking Ghost recon online EU servers. since 27th Feb 2014 the problem is Pakistan wide every time trying to connect to match server gives server failiur error 97D60007 but works fine when using VPN connection. there server ip i assume is 77.246.167.77 and 95.211.182.202 Join the Fight Against Lag | News, infos, alerts | Ghost Recon Online | Official Website there web site from where i took those ip addresses.

216.98.48.18 is the IP where the "LauncherReporter.exe" connect to... (which btw doesn't shutdown properly after exiting the game)

The launcher itself "Launcher.exe" use the IP 87.248..222.247:80 195.22.144.71:80 and listen to the port 12888 (TCP) (some https involve too sometime - 443)


The Game Itself "GhostReconOnline.exe":

Listen on TCP : 9921-9920-54677-12987-4242-10501-10502-16161-12227 (some ports may vary depending on your settings - ISP - conf etc)

Connected on UDP 195.22.144.204:22705 - 64.94.253.33:5062 - 77.246.167.71:5004 (some ports may vary depending on your settings - ISP - conf - servers you connected on etc)

If you are a ptcl user report blocked ip's to [MENTION=24169]ptcl[/MENTION]cares on twitter.They will be unblocked in a day or two.

@artmaroof90 dude i have a local isp and when i used Ghost recon phantoms my whole ip got blocked , my isp said that it is coz of the voip servers, and whenever i connect to a grp server my ip gets blocked and i have to have it changed or appeal to pta to unblock .... is this happening to you aswell ?
please reply and tell me if i should or should not download grp again ...coz i uninstalled it and my net is fine :p

Me, especially during peak hours, however, I use ExitLag VPN and it fixes most of the packet loss, high ping problems while unblocking the voice chat also which has been blocked by the meatheads at PTA.

Jokes aside, has anyone been able to properly diagnose this issue yet, exactly what's causing it? I remember Pakistan buying the controversial canadian-based Sandvine to monitor all the internet traffic. If you use WinMTR to any international destination IP's. Any traffic leaving Pakistan is getting huge amount of packet loss within the ISP's own network which further elevates to international destination's final point. I have emailed numerous emails to StormFiber and yet they are unable to rectify it and claiming to have no control over it. This is indeed a really scary situation and if this still continues to go unnoticed, are we stuck in this limbo forever?

From what little testing that I did on PTCL and transworld. You'll see a pattern that traceroutes are fine and ping to the server IP is fine but few seconds into the game, you'll start dropping packets in-game (ping/traceroutes still normal).

My first assumption was there might be some issue with the common upstream of transworld or PTCL but that is not the case. Then I moved onto the possibility of MITM happening within PK since this has happened before, I mean just go through this old thread.

For whatever reason, our game specific traffic is getting tagged and dropped causing the packet loss. Likewise, do an international skype or whatsapp call, it'll be pretty poor with the recipient getting very poor audio from our end, this too starts happening few seconds into the call. The odd thing here is that the occurrence of this happening increases a lot during the usual peak times of ~8pm-12am and is only sporadic on some games but is happening overall with everyone.
