Are you planning to get Nvidia's RTX 30 series ?

so what needs upgrading ? What is compatible and what isnt?

There was some info on https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforc...30-series GPUs are,is supported on Windows 10.
but

Was eyeing that 3080 currently have a 1080ti for 4k 60fps RTX

I have heard about a new power 12 pin connector. I am expecting some converters to become available (i.e 2 8 / pin to 12 pin) and new power supplies

Motherboard support?
HDMI 2.1 compatible Monitor/display?

Hopefully yes, a rtx 3060 but I still have a 1080p 60hz monitor so even that might be Overkill. A converter I think will be included in the box.

Motherboard support I assume as long it has pcie 3.0 support these gpus will run fine

Yep, planning on getting 3070 as soon as its available. Overkill for my needs as 3060 is more then enough for my requirements but I assume it'll take some time for 3060 to be announced, released and finally arrive in Pakistan. So, I'll get 3070.

Planning to get a 3070 from Canada near Christmas time (if stock remains). Will also be buying Zen3 (8c16t) to complement it. My current PC is now around 5 years old, so making a new one would go a long way :)))

The new power connectors are only for Nvidia's Founder's Edition gpus.
Its in the box ? the converter?

Also is it better to go for founders edition or go with something from asus, msi, etc ?

historically founders edition hold better value ?

Yes, converters are included in the box:

I believe only FE version uses the new pin connector...AIB cards will have two old connectors instead of one new connector.

AIBs are usually better then FE in terms of thermal performance (which may not be the case this gen becuause this time FEs are not reference cards, all FE cards are custom design) but this generation FE looks great. I would sacrifice some performance for the aesthetics alone..AIBs of this generation have same old design. FE unfortunately are unlikely to be available in Pakistan.

They do. Founders editions are always the best bet since they get a lot of aftermarket support too (watercooling). If its not possible then go for the EVGA ones. Best after sales support and lowest number of reported failures.

I have a 2080Ti so looking to upgrade to 3090. Waiting for the preorders to open. 😭

EVGA is best if buying from abroad. Long warranty + most hassle free RMA. Buying the card from Canada should cost me no more than 90K, and the other stuff would cost 80K.
