Would you guys recommend this to someone who is not into turn based gameplay?

I assume if you don't like turn based gameplay, you probably don't enjoy a lot of RPGs. This game has a lot of RPG elements, so maybe you wouldn't like it that much. Even the turn based gameplay IS pretty stylish though, so it's just genuinely just fun to look at. There's a lot of dungeon crawling, so there are loads of battles. If you're doubtful, I say you wait a little until the price drops and then buy it.

Wew got the steelbook for this yesterday, been playing for like 8 hours now. Almost done with the first dungeon, the game looks, feels and sounds top notch. Kudos to Atlus for actually delivering tbh

Though fuck how Sakamoto and Takamaki is pronounced in the game, I'm legit contemplating turning on Jap VA cuz that shit grates on my ears.

I have played RPG's and I like then, just have not played a lot of JRPGs, and haven't played a lot of turn based games, just looking at the game play it doesn't look appealing to me. I don't know maybe i'll enjoy it

jokes bro. but fuck atlus for not letting me take any pics or vids, such a stupid fucking decision and there's a few mistakes here and there with the localizations that are pretty easy to fix not sure what's up with that

So anyways finished up the first palace, some good shit. Really love the look of the in-engine cutscenes, Ann is waifu tier atm but I'm honestly just waiting for that one chick with the Motorcycle Persona and the stupid weeb chick to see how they fare. The thieves guild shit is great too to see what everyone else did on this day so I can choose what to do, never used it much in P4G but here it's a lot more useful

edit: proest tips for pros, sell the Soma you get from the free DLC that thing goes for like 50k, decked out all my characters after selling it

Finally completed the Kamoshida's palace. Man, the dungeons are long.

I like the story. The calling card being sent to kamoshida was epic.

The first palace is way longer than any other I've come across so far. Currently in 3rd palace, Makoto is *almost* waifu material but she's way too underleveled, meaning I've grinded my original 4 way too much and will probably be sticking with them

I do like the moody 'down time' song, which you normally hear in the mornings as just the music, whenever they put words to it, it's not that bad.

Also progress time, 7/1 - just finished the third palace. Saved shortly after beating the boss fight. I really wanna use Makoto in my party but due to my excessive grinding, the level cap difference between my 4 main and the reserve members is pretty huge. They're steadily gaining EXP and leveling up thanks to the Moon Confidant but it's still not the full 100% EXP, i think it's 1/4th so far which will increase with more Moon confidant level ups.

I can assure you it's Engrish. I swear I can hear her say "You never see it coming...", but that's about it.

P3 had a nice soundtrack. The good thing about that one was that whatever English they did use, they had small phrases, like that "I never felt like", and then the Japanese dude writing the lyrics would run out of all the words he knows in that language so he'd end it with a "ta na na na na!"

Yeah, the down time song is stuck in my head. It's actually pretty chill. The soundtrack overall though, it's good. The artwork, though. This is how you make an amazing looking game. Just every little graphic element is so slick, for lack of a better word.

The grinding seems tougher in this one. I don't know what level the new characters get unlocked on, but I think the XP is shared between the party. So I guess it would make sense to add one weak party member to your group and fight the higher level enemies so they get more XP? I'm sure it's not that simple.

I think I beat the first dungeon with 2 members at LVL 11 and two at LVL 10.

I don't think Yusuke voice fits. The voice of the character seems TOO deep.

Anyway on 2F of Madarame's palace. Hope this palace isn't as long as the first one. Want to get to Makoto's palace fast.

It's definitely not. The first dungeon is wayyyy too huge compared to the 2nd. The third is, by area, smaller but you have more enemies and being a JRPG you'll probably want to fight each and every one of the to get those EXPs and moneys.

Chandoo was right, Madarame's palace definitely appears smaller. I'm already halfway through, and recruited Yusuke.

Didn't have a chance to play this much over the weekend unfortunately :-/

But about to reach the 4th palace. New characters being introduced and seems like there's gonna be new party members. It's a bit odd because I think I'm nearing the mid point of the game and they're introducing new party members which are probably going to be way underleveled than my main 4 meaning they'll never get used unless mandated by the story :-/

Finally got Premium Edition delivered to me today. First ever CE and I could not be more happy.

And of course, the steelbook is there too but it's no different than the one everyone else has. I remember when Persona 3 Portable came out, I was only 12 and I had only played a few hours and just knew this game was something special. Played both the Persona 2 games and then got a PS Vita solely for Persona 4 Golden.

Putting this away because of my exams has got to be the single most painful experience of my life, and no words can describe my misery. But I'm also not crazy enough to not play it even a little bit, so.
