PC PC Games for your 3DTV

Hey there. I wanted to gather a list of games that look great in 3D. I am buying a 3DTV within a day or two, and would like to know your 3D experience in games like:

Portal 2.
Sleeping Dogs.
Just Cause 2.
Assassins Creed (Brotherhood, Revelations, Blag Flag).
Batman Arkham series.
Skyrim.
Bioshock series.
FIFA 13.

Also I would like to know whether I will need to buy some special HDMI cable. Or will the HDMI cables I used to sell work fine for 3D?

Remember that I have an AMD GPU, and would most probably be running games at 720p (damn, seems so weird with me saying that ) with SMAA and lesser shadow quality (hopefully FPS would be solid on the majority of the games).

One last thing I would like to know is whether Steam Big Picture mode works with pirated games?

Well I own a 3D monitor and I have yet to play a game in 3D , as i don't like how games look in 3D they don't look so good and furthermore running games on 3D requires more juice so you better have a good gpu, also I have an nvdia gpu don't know if amd provide something for 3D gamers.... anyways u will end playing in 2D too, only 3D movies hei achi lagti hain

Because its mostly an urban game, I think it would look great. Anyway if someone has played these games, can you give me an opinion? Well i have played crysis 2 on 3d and it looks like ur playing through a glass in front of you like the glass of a car in front of view

Batman Arkham Series, Just Cause 2 and Skyrim look great in 3d cuz they are officialy Nvidia 3D Vision supported.Trine 2 and Max Payne 3 have best 3D Effects.... Dont know about Amd Gpus though you can try Tridef 3D i heard its as good as Nvidia 3DTV Play if not better.Btw Nvidia gpus are better when it comes to Stereoscopic 3D games support on PC.

just wanted to ask you HOW you are going to play these games in 3d? Your amd gpu supports 3d (something like nvidia 3d vision)?

And the games i played in 3d

Portal 2. havent played in 3d
Sleeping Dogs Looks good but because the game had some issues on pc so i completed it on xbox
Just Cause 2. Sorry, dont remember
Assassins Creed (Brotherhood, Revelations, Blag Flag). havent tried BF, but the other games are THE BEST GAME TO PLAY IN 3D!!!!! Its just wonderful, the depth etc everything feels perfect
Batman Arkham series. 2nd best
Skyrim. Bioshock series. Havent tried
FIFA 13 not much difference/fun...... youre better off without 3d for this

And btw, besides these, i'd also recommened COD MW and BF. For cod, i had to adjust some depth issues but then it was really good specailly aiming down the sight


And you'll only need a 1.4 HDMI cable. I think youll get it with the tv

The cable I was selling works fine for 3D tried it last night The 3D on the LG's LM5800 is epic.

I played Sleeping Dogs, the 3D looks good on that but due to the 2 images not being perfectly aligned (one was in the middle, the other was at the top right of it :/), it gave me a quick headache. I will see if I could make the images perfectly aligned horizontally. Any help on how to make them aligned [MENTION=218]CerebralTiger[/MENTION] ?

Tried FIFA in 2D mode and looks fucking mindblowingly good. I told my dad that if we will buy a big ass TV, it will be for FIFA, and believe me, FIFA looks great in 1080p

BTW I was unable to find any 3D option in COD Black Ops 1 But it looked so good in 1080p at full settings, and ran quite well too (around 45-60 FPS in full glory ).

Watched some bits of Life Of Pi on it. The depth was great and it looked epic, especially that flying fishes scene

yeah fifa looks great..... better than console
dont remember about cod bo1 but i played BO2 and mw2 in 3d. the 3d of mw2 for some reason looked bettter than bo2 (NOT talking about gfx quality.... only the 3d effect)

and good 3d movies..... umm just to name a few, clash of titans, avatar, transformers, resident evil (MUST WATCH!!!!) , and saw 6 or 7 dont remember which part

tridef isnt free. And just get the tridef 3d ignition

Well i attached my Samsung 3dTV LED with my Pc (GTX670) for 3D gaming, installed the 3DTV Play and Tridef. Played around in 3D for a few hours and was deeply dissapointed. Here is Why:

The Current HDMI Standards supports upto 1080p on normal usage. While using 3D the HDMI cable requires double the bandwidth which is just not available through HDMI. So while you can watch movies in 1080p60 you will only be able to play games at 720p30 which looks absolutely horrible on most games. So no matter how awesome your PC or TV is, you will only play 3d games at 1280x720p with jaggies all over the place. Not worth it imho.

HDMI 2 was announced recently so new tvs should fix the issue.

True but I am expecting to play in 720p, because my PC isn't strong enough to support 2x1080p kinda setting ... Khair hay, it looked decent in 720p, and if thats what I am going to get, so be it for the time being (will upgrade to R9 280 or R9 270 soon along with i5).

Actually, it's 720p60Hz.

Also, this is only if you're running 3D via frame packed mode. Via over-under, you get 1920x540, which is better than 720p. Unfortunately, 3DTVPlay doesn't offer support for non-frame packed modes, but Tridef does. Plus, some games have in-game support for side-by-side/over-under 3D (e.g. Crysis 3, Assassin's Creed 3 etc.).

Side by Side was the mode. You might be right about convergence, as I just ran Sleeping Dogs too and it ran, but not as I hoped it would give the result.

BTW Assassins Creed IV just finished Lemme try it in an hour.
