@opethian best part is, all the screens I'm posting are 100% real time, as they're all coming from my own Pro. No trickery or PC dev kit shots. We have finally reached "bullshot" quality in real time graphics. Scorpio is more powerful than Pro so let's see if any of MS's first party developers can tap and utilize it like GG has done with Pro.

Horizon is by far the best looking game I've seen.

Oh yes, since PS4 I have never used my PC to play a game, and I can only imagine how much dev with Pro n Scorpio can push the limits
First time consoles can do what PC can't ... HDR gaming (unless someone plugs his PC to a HDR TV)
Is it out already? What kinda results I should expect on my ps4?

4k screens in PNG are like 20 MB I can't find any free host to let me upload them. JPEG causes too much compression at that high a resolution.

I love how varied the game environments are. The world map is bigger than .. let's say the main continent for The Witcher 3, but not bigger than if you combine all of it's zones together. However, there is huge variance in the kind of landscapes you see. You have your typical Skyrim meadows, rocky terrain, snow and blizzard infested peaks in the far north, desert in the mid-west and lush jungle forests straight out of Crysis in the south-west.

Yes CES2017 showcased HDR monitors, but consoles have been doing this for some time now ... what happened to sell OLED monitors they were unveiled last year n cancelled in Jan this year let's hope for good things to come
Anyway 2017 will be great for consumers n especially gamers. HDR TVs have matured enough and PC monitors will also be available ... With 1080Ti being released at such insane prices, 1070/1080 will be even more affordable n Vega will make things even more interesting

ek to yeh witcher 3 aajata hai kahin na kahin se

try google photos for uploading maybe, they don't have a limit. ~6-7MB per 4K screen doesn't make the compression that bad..

No, I haven't. I don't think I'm anywhere close to it. I'm focusing more on side stuff and hunter quests, I don't think I've started the story quests that start in the big city.

I'm level 42 and story quests are recommended level 18 right now may be a wee bit over powered.

Ummmhmmmm. That is what I have been noticing from all the screenshots and reviews/videos of this game I have seen. Really colorful and varying environments, the sort of game where you just pause and look around a lot, or wander around just to admire its beauty.

GAH, someone please give me a PS4 so I can play this game.

I don't think I'm able to direct link from google photos. 3 of the 4K screens I took are in dark environments and came out less than 10 MB, so abload is accepting them too. Posting in spoiler tags so they don't blow up.

The 4th is a bright outdoor area and its above 10MB, looking for a free 10MB+ upload spot. I can always put it on Mega but then people'll need to download it, there's no point if you can't view it online.

Finished it. Good god what a great game this is. Have given around 50-55 hours to the game and currently sitting at 84% game completion. Done with 90% trophies too. Will try for platinum.

4K PNGs are super huge man. Even at 64MBit connectivity here, it's no joke

based on all the impressions and OG PS4 screenshots, seems like beyond the resolution and some texture filtering difference, the game is one of the best looking games on OG as well.

My short review of the game

Pros
The game is incredibly beautiful to look at. But visuals can only take a game to a certain extent. Its the game play that matters the most and Horizon excels here the most. Machine designs are fabulous and you just never get bored of fighting them. There are a number of ways of taking down those machines and each weapon type feels unique in its own way. Each machine type feels different and each fight feels varied and memorable in its own way and you would want to revisit them over and over again - its that good. Surprisingly, GG have done a pretty great job in terms of writing. Alloy is a fantastic character and the overall story keeps you interested right till the end.


Cons
Melee combat feels slow and heavy in complete contrast to the overall tone - Alloy is uber agile. Human encounters although not boring but are underwhelming, especially when the Machine encounters are soo good. Thankfully they are pretty limited. GG have done a pretty decent job with their side quests differentiating them from the usual fetch quests, unfortunately the number of side quests are somewhat low.

The final boss fight. I don't know why do games these days discount the importance of the final boss fight so much. While the final mission does a great job setting the scene for an epic climax the ending fight is pretty mediocre given how epic HADES could have been.

Overall I had a blast from the very start till the end and i still plan to fight some more machines tonight just for the joy of it. Not only does Horizon look beautiful, it plays even better.

Did you get the 'notch 2' or 3 arrows at once before firing skills ? Because now that I have those, I'm pretty much using those for all the semi and bigger monsters like Ravagers, Thunder Jaws, Rock Breakers and Storm Birds etc.

The purple war bow with 3 notched arrows does +500 damage depending on where you hit the enemies. Melee is good for all small enemies since they get knocked down easy but, yeah, the bow becomes a super versatile power weapon once you start maximizing the skill tree.

The 2 or 3 arrows stack for status arrows too, so it becomes real easy to set enemies weak to fire, on fire and shock enemies weak to electricity etc.
