On topic, played the first chapter. Just like Gears 4, game is hella well optimized. Running 1080p/60 on my laptop with mostly high's, some ultra's and a medium or two .. and there isn't even an NVidia game ready driver out for this, that's supposed to release with the game's proper release date.

Also, not gonna lie, that 'beginner' auto aim which 100% pinpoints every enemies heads is real tempting to play the whole game with lol.

I wouldn't recommended anything less than the Experienced difficulty.

And prioritize upgrading Jack. He's da real MVP.

Just got to the open world, I don't think anyone's going to come out of this game saying the open world part was their favorite. It's so .. feature-less. Even ODST's hub had more stuff to do than this. Other then that, it's a very solid game and a worthy follow up to Gears 4 IMO.

I *really* love that the story is revisiting Gears 2 story elements that were completely ignored in Gears 3.

Yes it can.

Pretty easy to spot that you weren't using it even in your 1080p shots. Its a pretty significant boost especially in cut scenes.

Here's some shots with the ultra textures, the finer details, scuff marks etc on character models are the most notable thing to my eyes after the update. The environmental textures look about the same. But hey, as long as it doesn't cause a hit on performance, I'll keep it enabled.
