[OT] Official Anime Recommendation/Watching Currently Thread!

Well. You watched original hxh recently how was it compared to the 2011 one??

I'd say naruto doesn't even come near HxH. Except for some good story moments such as Itachi's backstory. There isn't any depth to Naruto's plot or atleast I didn't find any. Naruto comes just in time to save everyone. The one time Pain destroyed the fucking village, guess what, we have a jutsu that puts everyone back to life. When you do things like this, the characters deaths don't have any meaning any more.

HxH on the other hand feel more real. Plus nice characters (looking at Hisoka, Killua, Illumi) not a bunch of crybabies [emoji38]

Much better. I liked the original one's arc especially Yorknew City one much much more than the new one. Though I'd say the greed island arc of the new had a little better animation and and finishing touch (Razor volleyball match)
Plus after watching original one, I'd say original Hisoka and Killua > new hisoka and Killua xD

i seen 2011 full and i hve seen fights of the original one..

the york new arc 2011 is v v well done and the musik just hits the spot and ofcorse the violent goery turn it takes in this arc is wat made the series amazing.

2011's vibrant colors don't fit yorknew's dark theme very well xD The old one's faded out colors worked really well for it in this case xD
Also did I mention Hisoka's old VA <3

Nothing comes close to Nina orgasming over Euphemia in Code Geass lol. That was fucking hilarious.

Also, how would you guys rate HXH in comparison to FMA:B? I loved FMA:B and I want to get into HXH but the episode count always puts me off for some reason

FMA-B is great but

the best thing about HxH 2011 is there are no Filler episodes its all main story which is superb for this long anime and HxH 2011 is a must watch.

Lol yeah it was there but, one thing that the old one put me off was the way they depicted the auras. Not very aesthetic when compared to how they show auras in 2011. (more like DBZ) The old one just shows faded colors around the bodies xD

They are pretty different tho. HxH has better action imo and there are some characters that I just literally adore. Many badass scenes as well. As Janarioo said it's a must watch.

CARTOONISH ANIME like Avatar and its awesome.. just watch ep or two to get over the slow animation but overall its superb 9/10

Starting S3 of Shingeki no Kyojin, I did forget what a rollercoaster it always is watching that anime. Some interesting revelations have taken place and I'm really hyped about the upcoming Shiganshina arc.

I heard the same but people who watched praised it quite a bit. Think it deals with abuse and stuff. Was wondering if anyone watched it here.
But apart from that, just finished watching Castlevania on Netflix. There is a whole war online about people not calling it an anime but given its art style its pretty much an anime and a bloody good one at that. It just wrapped up, its small but extremely fun. The story and art is amazing.

the animation is top notch the styles n the meMEs are awesome.

just get past the first few episodes mayb the psychi stuff feels wierd but once the story strts its great

the humor is superb

definitly a must watch.

its a differnt type of story than those and when MOB reaches LEVEL 100 the animation the fighting it great AMAZING.

It's anime GC :s Anyways what have you watched already. Cuz tension filled anime are a thing of the past. I can recommend a few old ones.
