Outsold by 6 older multiplatform games released in 2019. Very well deserved , but not enough complex creations I guess :hah:

NPD is unreliable Imo, but I'm waiting for the April listing to see where FF7R ranks, wont be top 10 since its "not a 90 meta game" hence "Not worth it" #90orbust #noRagrets LMAO
Errr VR games can also make it to the main list if they sell well enough. Though, I guess HL: Alyx being VR-only hurt sales. 16k peak player count and all

300k is a global figure. These charts are US-only, so I'm guessing close to a 100k.

I think it will be. It never looked to me like it could achieve Universal Acclaim, but April doesn't have any major releases apart from RE3 Remake so I think its lucky in that regard.
Meanwhile, Alyx is the best selling VR game on Steam currently. Both US and globally. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
yeah I guess that's true no competition is the only way it can lead the charts, Its actually hilarious that every game other than FF7R got delayed from April (lmao).
Alyx is a beast no doubt about it. No PSVR game even comes close lets be real, its been a driving force for people to actually adopt a VR device since the game's announcement the Index has been perpetually out of stock on steam (been trying to get one but alas my efforts are in vain) and other VR headsets have seen an increase in sales as well, Kudos to valve to make the game open to all VR platforms and not an index Exclusive.
Now that I think about it the PSVR is the only device that doesn't officially support Alyx (lmao) Press F.
IMO Valve has "F You money" so Alyx wasn't about sales it was about making the best game they could, It just happened to be in VR, Reviews for Alyx proved that the gambit paid off.
Yep. Its been a success for Valve and VR headsets got a significant boost in sales ever since Alyx's announcement.

I dont think games have looked any better since 2019 onwards and they are performing worse and worse. Game developers have really dropped the ball.
