  • Leon Leon:
Just read somewhere that only 2-3 of the brands are having the non issue 3080 cards, even zotac has some issues
    Link
  • GoldenHawk GoldenHawk:
As usual the first 3080 cards available in Pakistan are from gigabyte 'sigh'

low presets and the massive visual drawbacks they incur in most games will always be smack dab in your face
    varies wildly with different games.

someone can also get used to some missing shadows or trees in the distance if they can get used to 30fps. former won't even always be noticeable, latter will always affect your gameplay

High might not be ideal to some if it is to you... theres Ultra too you know
    Link
  • Chandoo Chandoo:
someone can get used to 30 FPS within a few mins when coming from higher frame rates, but a game like that which is all about its visual splendor, playing it in less than ideal visuals would be a worse experience
    Link
  • Chandoo Chandoo:
man, i wholeheartedly disagree with that :p

  • Necrokiller Necrokiller:
i dont know his specs, tho 1080p60 at Low will be a more enjoyable experience, if not as pretty, due to game feeling much more responsive and motion looking more fluid.

  • Chandoo Chandoo:
just saying that I would prioritize visuals over performance in this game
    Link
  • Chandoo Chandoo:
if someone's PC is good enough, go ahead, but Leon seems to have a middling gaming laptop and in that scenario I would much rather push 1080p/high or 1440p/high~medium settings than 1080p/low at 60 FPS.

for a game like RDR 2 I would much sooner increase visual fidelity than frame rate, its a very deliberately slow paced game and doesn't exactly scream fluid motion.
i mustve been playing a different game with all the high speed horse back combat and driving. The higher frame rates makes the animations look more fluid. It has deliberately long animations. Not the same thing as slow pacing.

I dont know when people will understand that fluid motion makes everything better. Just because its not a twitch shooter or something doesnt mean it wont benefit from higher frame rates.

And for twitch shooters, 60fps isnt even considered good anymore since gsync displays arrived

It's a slow game,.crank up graphics and run at 30 FPS for the bells and whistles
