Apple silicon MacBooks are m1 and m2. MacBooks prior to that used to come with Intel processors that are now replaced my apple's own inhouse Silicon SoC. The 2020 MacBook air and onwards have apple silicon in them. These are all the macs that use apple silicon:

Most likely, but I suggest looking for the specific app running on m1/m2 on YouTube. This way you will be sure about the performance

Not all apps are supported, and even those which are will run in Windowed mode like on iPads. Some bank apps detect the device as "JailBroken" or "Unverified" obviously, and therefore refuse to run. What are you trying to achieve anyway?
