Does anyone know the pay of a army captain? And how much time does it take to get promoted?

guys when is the adm in army and navy open, i mean when can i apply in army and navy.

If I would join army after my BS Elec. Engineering by Direct Short Service Commission in corps of signals or electrical and mech. engineering.

My basic rank would be that of a captain right?

What kind of office work would I be doing as I wont be in the combat.

How does the promotion system work? In how many years what rank can I get?

Whats the maximum rank I can get?

Can I transfer to other departments? like into the army (combatant.)

As army doctors are allowed private practice are engineers also allowed private jobs?

And lastly the pay of a captain is ONLY 19000 rs. with annual increments of 1000rs.(as far as I know.) So I would like to know about the facilities etc that a capt. gets.

LOlz first Iam not In ARMY iam just student posted this thread for help and
I can answer your last question about salary THAT Salary of Captain is way good 40k I think and other's facilities are good, If you are going to join army for facilities then sit home it is better there BECAUSE you have to face every problem there any how in every circumstance.

twice a year, the tests in summer are for the winter course and the ones in winter are for the summer course

If u want to join army then there will be no problem.make sure that you are not colorblind.
