Gamesradar spoke to Guerilla Games and we have some basic new info

"We're so excited to spend more time in this world, expanding its lore and continuing Aloy's journey," a Guerrilla spokesperson told GamesRadar, after we went looking for new information. "There are so many gameplay and storytelling possibilities in this universe and we can't wait to explore them further in Horizon Forbidden West."

"Part of what made the machine combat in Horizon Zero Dawn so satisfying was the puzzle-solving element in each encounter. What is this machine's attack pattern? What are its weaknesses? Which strategies are most successful? There was the harsh reality of stumbling upon machines that you weren't quite ready to take on. Our reveal trailer showed players they can look forward to things they've never seen before, but we'd like to leave it at that for now and preserve as much of that satisfaction for players to discover for themselves."

Combat isn't the only area of Horizon Forbidden West where Guerrilla is expanding and enriching the foundation it set with Zero Dawn. As seen in the reveal trailer, Aloy now possesses an underwater breathing apparatus, which allows her to descend into Earth's lakes and oceans, uncovering new treasures, revelations, and threats beneath.

Sony ought to do a State of Play with progress updates on Ratchet & Clank, GT7, and Horizon Forbidden West. Ratchet should get a release date and Horizon should get proper gameplay footage.

Okay, I have to say that my impressions have seen a turnaround with respect to gameplay.

Also, holy sh*t is the slide mechanic incredible or what.

I, for one, am glad this will also be on the PS4

The biggest issue with the first, for me, was you never really felt connected to either the characters or the story. It felt bland & boring.

I guess it had something to do with the narrative or direction, but they should work on that.

I mean, let's face it - HZD is a poor man's Witcher 3, but the reality is that TW3 fans aren't getting a sequel anytime soon. And even then, the key people who contributed to the game are no longer working at CDPR. Forbidden West is your best bet at something similar in the foreseeable future, no reaching

Hell fucking yes!!! I absolutely loved the first one. Got a platinum trophy for it too. Just cannot wait for the second one. I would have hoped that the game was a ps5 exclusive but honestly it doesnt matter that much. The first one was easily one of the top 5 games of last gen for me.
