Can you suggest me a complete build in budget of 200k.I think this advise of yours to go with iGPU is good one. I am unable to figure out the differences in so many MOBOs. B450/550 Mobos area starting from 15k and go all the way up to 40k. Whats the real difference in them?
Assalam-o-alaikum hsn, B450/550 motherboards are for AMD CPUs which have AM4 socket layout and 450/550 chipsets. The difference between B450 & B550 is that of a generation, B450 came out with AMD 2000 series CPUs, B550 came out after AMD 3000 series CPUs and supports 3000/4000/5000 CPUs. While B450 does not support 5000 series CPUs and the support of 3000 series CPUs require BIOS update.
Within the B550 chipset motherboards (applies to other motherboards as well), all the manufacturers offer a variety of motherboard for different prices, adding features as the price goes up. Cheapest among the B550 are the B550M, which are the mATX (Micro ATX, smaller form factor of motherboards) motherboards. At the lowest price, motherboards are stripped of some extra features to save cost, and as the price goes up you will find better VRM (means power delivery, more overclocking potential), more I/O like USB 3.2 Gen 2, USB C, 2.5G LAN, better Audio I/O, more PCIe slots, M2 slots and WiFi/Bluetooth etc.
If these things matter to you then spend extra, otherwise don't. ASUS, Gigabyte and ASROCK are reputable brands and have excellent B550 offerings, you can't go wrong with any of their motherboards, pick one that suits your needs and budget. Some of MSI boards have sub-par VRMs, so I won't recommend them. Cheapest would be
GIGABYTE B550M DS3H or ASRock B550M Phantom Gaming 4. If you need WiFi then you can add a WiFi m2/PCI card yourself or buy an integrated WiFi motherboard like ASUS Prime B550M-A WiFi.
No one runs SLI/CrossFire anymore, so you won't need additional PCIe x16 slots, and mATX has smaller x1/x2/x4 slots for any WiFi/Sound/Capture cards that you might want to add later.
- Intel Core i7-11700K Processor - Rs.74,900
- Corsair VENGEANCE® RGB PRO 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3600MHz C18 Memory Kit — Black, CMW16GX4M2D3600C18 - Rs.21,700
- Samsung 980 PRO PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD 1TB - Rs.50,500
- I will buy a RTX 3070 later when prices are stable
I would NOT recommend 11th Gen CPUs, two less cores than the AMD counterparts, Intel went backwards for 11th Gen, these are 14nm while AMD is 7nm. This means Intel 11th Gen runs hotter, consumes more power, has lesser IPC (Instructions per Cycle/Clock), lesser multicore performance and is more expensive, e.g., 11700K is more expensive than 5600X.
EDIT Or is it better to just buy a gaming laptop ?
Asus TUF Dash 15 FX516 GAMING - Tiger Lake - 11th Gen Core i7 QuadCore 16GB 01-TB SSD 8-GB NVIDIA RTX3070 GDDR6 With Max-Q Design Graphics 15.6" Full HD 240Hz IPS-Level Display Backlit Chiclet Keyboard W10 ThunderBolt 4 (Eclipse Gray)
Rs. 291,999
The only difference I can see in these two is 1TB vs 512 SSD and 3070 vs 3060 card. Is this difference worth the price upgrade?
I want the laptop / machine to be useful for next 3-4 years of average gaming + multi tasking - running multiple OS on virtual box for development
Thanks
IF you want to game NOW, then laptop seems to be the only choice as the GPU prices aren't coming back to normal till first quarter 2022 as per earnings calls to investors by both Nvidia & AMD. But it is not the same performance as the desktop CPU-wise, and GPU performance in a laptop is a whole different story, Mobile GPU is not a lower TDP version of their Desktop counterpart, rather it's a different version all together. e.g., Mobile 3070 is a watered down version of desktop 3060, not of 3070. And it gets more complicated, not all mobile 3070s are same, because there are different versions of Mobile 3070 in terms of Power Draw & TDP, which translates to performance. Sorry if this confuses you further, but you need to know what you are buying.
Then there is longevity, with laptops being non-upgradable, it won't last you 3-4 years being relevant in gaming but again it is available NOW. I would still not recommend 11th Gen, specially not in a laptop, Intel's 11th Gen has less than half the battery life of AMD 5000 series. Speaking of which, try to find the AMD version of ASUS G15
ASUS makes the best hardware for PC gaming, eSports, and overclocking. Our innovations deliver top performance and premium experiences for everyone.

Which Mobo will be best for this setup?
Suggest me good PSU, Casing and Cooling to go with this setup.
Also any good and reputable store in RWP/ISB for this kind of setup?

I would recommend an AMD setup, but like I said earlier, it will depend on your requirement. AMD's 3000 or 5000 series CPUs don't have iGPU, but the "G" variants have. You can go for 5700G if you can find one, or go for 5600X and add the cheapest GPU you can find, even a GTX750 will outperform an iGPU, and later add in the 3070 when you can find one at reasonable cost.
5600X with Stock cooler (that comes free with CPU)
B550M (Gigabyte/ASUS/ASROCK) whichever is cheapest for you, they are all similar in performance
16GB 3600MHZ RAM (2 sticks of identical 8GB RAM for dual channel performance, Preferable C16 or lower, but depends on your budget) Timing & Latency are more important than RGB, get timing of 3600Mhz (lower than 3600Mhz lowers CPU performance, higher than 3600Mhz does not add much performance) and a Latency of C16 or lower.
At least 512GB of NVMe SSD (Samsung 970 EVO or similar ~3000Mb/s)
PSU for 3070 would be at least 750 watts or higher, don't buy PSU cheap, it will damage rest of your system, buy at least a 80+ Gold rated. e.g., Gigabyte P750GM or Cooler Master MWE Gold 750 - V2
For casing, get one with highest AirFlow, in our region our ambient temps are pretty high to start with, so hardware tends to throttle under temps,
we need to spend on casing rather than CPU coolers. Go with Mesh front intake casing, no glass restrictive casing. On a lower budget Antec NX Series NX800 and a higher budget CoolerMaster H500P Mesh.
I have always built my own PCs, but if you are not comfortable with building your own PCs than get them assembled by the shop that you buy parts from, there is no charge. ShingPoint is the ASUS dealer in RWP/ISB, it's located in Blue Area ISLAMABAD. Blue Area or Saddar are two major places to find higher end hardware. In Saddar there is WiseTech and Regent Computers, In Blue Area there is ShingPoint, Media Inn and the shop next to it (forgot its name). You might not find all the parts in one shop, also you might find some parts cheaper in some shops, so look around for best prices but always buy new and in warranty.
Hope this helps, Best of luck bro.
