Hackers Steal Money from Standard Chartered Accounts by Hacking ATMs

Standard Chartered Pakistan’s customers were recently left shocked when they received transaction alerts through SMS and emails for withdrawals of around Rs. 50,000 from their bank accounts without any action on their part.

There were a few bank customers who did not even get any report through SMS or email but were made aware of the hack when their ATMs did not process their transactions and their debit cards were blocked.

It is yet unclear that how many Standard Chartered customers were impacted with this hacking attempt, however, traces reveal that this incident siphoned off a huge money in a few seconds from Pakistan to England, where the headquarter of SCB is operated.

If it really was Skimming , then you can't really blame the bank - at least not entirely. There are ATMs everywhere and this wouldn't be hard to pull off especially on out-of-bank ATMs.

It is very common technic used for getting money from hacked accounts but the thing is mostly european banks and american banks have blocked access to atm service in countries like Pakistan Bangladesh
Same our bank needs to do
And even every single penny is insured they should issue the stolen amount to the customer

No u can cash it anywhere but mostly Pakistani data is sold in uk so thats why it is cashed here
