With Strict NAT and mostly blacklisted IPs.
I'm not surprised you're getting errors.

Try changing DNS and see if it works, though I doubt it will.

I tried using my Ptcl broadband and played 1 hour ago so I think just restart your router that'll do the job

Yeah, i guess so but didnt worked for me then but now its fine

If you are using it on wifi then Ps4 will detect the network as NAT type 3. Which isn't going to work that well.

You need to buy a router for the zong device with which you can connect a LAN cable and then use it with PS4.

Also go to the GTA 5 official forums and they have some port settings that you need to enable on your router. Do that and that will help.

Hey, just wanted some info that playing online on zong 4G MBB on PS4 of cousre is hassle free? I actually left my PS4 back in Saudi and will probably getting it back in Dec.. so ..

Well, you're out of luck for using Zong 4g for PSN. I've a close friend working with zong engineering team and he says that trying to connect to PSN ( or any other application that needs non-traditional ports to be opened to you ) is a lost cause. They are lazy so instead of allowing anybody to open any ports to their device and provide security for it, they simply won't let you open any ports at all. Assigning you a static IP is out of the question. The company that has the policy of restricting all ports other than that they think the end users need, shouldn't be expected to provide any special service to its customers.

And when I asked the engineer regarding when the ports policy might change in future, "Just switch to some other network" as the reply that I got. Pretty nice.

So that's exactly what I did. I returned the zong 4G device and got a PTCL Charji. The ports issue is not there but I think I overlooked the fact that you need to have a working internet connection to actually play games and PTCL is as unreliable as they come. Seriously guys, I've seen bad internet, I've used rabta online and go net scratch cards over dial up internet. I've used wordcall in exchange of an arm and a limb. I've used witribe with their caching so aggressive that the website updates I made wouldn't appear even a day after. I've used broadband internet with its noisy lines messing up all the times. I've used WiMAX with its signals dropping based on height of trees in my area. I've had (insider) support guy tell me that the reason why my internet drops every two hours is because the "UPS batteries of your relevant base station are busted and we wouldn't change them because we're selling out to Qubee. Why spend money on batteries, they'll get new ones when they acquire our WiMAX division". And I know bad internet when I see it.

Let alone the actual download speed of the PTCL network, even their DNS servers are so crappy that name resolution takes up to 5 seconds. Make a request to google.com and the network keeps juggling you between isb, lhr, and khi for first ~10 hops (I know PTCL is THE ISP in Pakistan and every other ISP uses their services so such routing problems are going to occur regardless of ISP I choose to get ripped off by). Incompetence of these people is beyond anything I've seen.

Zong 4G is BY FAR THE BEST internet service I've used so far. It is reliable and snappy. The only issue with their model is the restricted ports. If you're aiming to use PSN extensively then your best bet is PTCL Broadband, provided you give a healthy dose of "parchi" to the line man to keep your telephone wire in order. Other than that, wait for Zong to resolve their posts mess or wait for telenor to provide 4G cloud devices. Telenor 4G devices might not be far in future since they've already acquired the 4G license and are evaluating their network bandwidth for 4G.

Ok so i have been using PTCL Charji for a year now without much issues

1-) You absolutely need an external Antenna for Charji
2-) You will need to get the Huawei Device (i have the oldest one) to have Nat 2
3-) I personally get 10-18 mbps down and 4-8mbps up speeds
4-) My Charji is hooked to a 3g router and then wired to the PS4

Now i also have a Zong 4g Device

1-) Its also hooked to an external antenna + 4g ROuter and wired to the PS4
2-) Its Nat 3 (obviously)
3-) I also got the issue of Not connecting to PS4
4-) The trick to bypass is , 1st connect your PS4 to a provider which is Nat 2 (in my case its my crap ptcl broadband 4mb). Then disconnect the PTCL one and switch over to Zong (do not run the Connection test)
5-) I then easily get connected to games via zong !!

Oh and i did emailed / called Zong`s headoffice regarding ports. They have no plans to change / open their ports policy anytime soon. I doubt Telenor would be allowing ports to be open on their 4g devices as well !
