hey so deciding to get a gaming laptop near the end of this year. which ones are good and best . omen,s predators, alienwares, tuff gaming etc... let me know. budget is aboout 2000$ max and im mostly looking in 17inches size

abroad ofcourse looking at tht black friday sales hopefully can snag a good one than...

IMO Dell Alienware and MSI gaming laptops are among the best laptops. However, ROG series is also best but i like MSI laptops because of their low price while built quality is great.
under 2k you have many options available. if you are specifically looking for black friday sale, i think you can easily purchase a little older model in great price from Amazon/Newegg.

All these are competitive Laptops having similar specifications.

Now alienware is too expensive in fact 2.5k. if you are able to find the exact model with RTX 2070 and same specs in 2k in black friday sale it will be great.

now if we talk about msi and Asus both laptops are almost same but if were you i would purchase MSI.
now as you are going to purchase from a sale you may not be able to purchase desire model but you have to look for these specs for a laptop.

Laptop should must have 9th gen i7, minimum 16gb ram, 500gb SSD, Nvidia RTX 2070 gpu.
remember, before purchasing laptop, make sure the cpu model is i7 9th gen and have 6-core processor.
For gpu, the some of the latest versions of laptops have gtx 1660 and not RTX 2070. remember, gtx 1660 is not as good gpu as RTX 2070 so don't go for a laptop that have gtx1660.
also when you find something good, you may mention its link here.
but the three laptops i mentioned above are very good laptop and are probably best for your budget.

Hey man, could you elaborate a little more as to what you require? There are a plethora of options that you could potentially look into but here are a few questions I have:

1) Is portability important to you or would you rather have a "portable desktop"?
2) What games are you looking to play?
3) Are you looking into potentially upgrading your GPU in the future through the purchase of an enclosure?

well if you are talking about this version of zephrus:

then its better than HERO III in these departments:
its GPU is better than HERO III but i think the difference in price is not worth it specially if you are not hardcore pc gamer and most of the games are playable on high settings on HERO III Laptop. still this is the only major difference between both.
second is the storage amount, HERO III come with 512gb ssd+ 1tb hdd while this comes with 1tb ssd but i don't think its really worth it since you can install windows/games/etc in 512gb easily and rest in the hdd.
third is the ram difference which is 32gb while hero iii has 16gb but i really don't think you need 32gb ram ATM

both of the laptop have similar cpu and many more similarities like you should read its review here:

now if we look at the price difference there is a difference of 1000$$$ and i don't think its worth it so think about it and once again don't look at the models, look at the competition these companies have and what they are going to offer you

what about the changing parts for laptop ? can we replace gpu and or ram etc later on from any of these models if required ? usually ram is changeable in laptops but not all allow that too.

you can't change a laptop GPU.
regarding RAM and HDD you can update later whenever you want.
regarding future proof, i think you may not need to change ram. even if you need, the ram can be upgraded easily.
hdd can also be replaced.
the good thing about Hero III or similar laptops is that those laptops have 9th gen 6-core processors which means you are getting the latest series processors in very good price.

Now if we talk about future proof, i think its not possible to purchase something futureproof at this time when latest gpus and cpus and ssds and other technologies are releasing rapidly.
most of the times you want to have a better cpu and gpu in your laptop because other parts are usually replaceable so getting a core i7-9th gen 6-core cpu is great idea else core-i9 cpus are very expensive and i don't think you can purchase core-i9 laptop in your budget.
finally for gpu 2 top gpus for laptops are rtx 2080 and rtx 2070. i think in your budget you can easily purchase rtx 2070 gpu but it will be hard to find a rtx 2080 laptop in your budget. take a look at the review of the laptop even rtx 2080 is not competitive for some games in 4k.

You can actually change the GPU in certain laptops, although, off the top of my head I can only think of the Alienware 51m that allows that for now. The design is basically similar to the old MXM cards that were present in older laptops. The thing is, these modules are really expensive and, honestly their availability will be dependent upon the manufacturer. The more affordable and practical solution would be to go down the eGPU route where you can plug in an enclosure, pop in a full fat GPU, and continue playing whatever it is that you want.

When it comes to enclosures you have two major options, the ones that are based on TB3 and then Alienware's solution which uses a proprietary connection. Multiple tests have shown that the Alienware graphics amplifier is able provide a significant increase in performance compared to the TB3 enclosures, with the downside that you have to buy an alienware laptop and TBH, there comes a point when you're just splitting hairs chasing the highest benchmark numbers. Both these types of enclosures have a performance penalty of anywhere between 10% to 15% compared to an equivalent desktop. If you haven't already, I'd definitely suggest you look into the A51m because that laptop fulfills all of your requirements, not to mention that it uses a full fat desktop CPU which you can change on your own. Hope this helps.
