omgggg MAXIMIX EXTREME 8 is here --but considering the amount of money they are taking for it -it does not have the quad features of the maximix extreme 6 , very strange indeed

Nope, if spending this much I'd be buying Gaming G1.

Nonetheless very interesting to see them carrying motherboard stock now.

one thing which i dont get is why asus did not go with quad sli set up in the top of the line z170 , there maximis extreme 6 had it .fully supported why skip here .

ASUS kinda messed up their line this time IMO. They are coming with another version of ASUS Z170 Deluxe as well as ROG Maximus VIII Hero with extra features on it, I mean ... what the hell? They have more motherboards for Z170 chipset than they have countries covered for their services.

As for Extreme, I think they'll do the same and give in another board to fix their PCIe lanes banter or they might have something up their sleeves with ROG Maximus VIII Formula or something but I agree, someone paying that high of a price would expect better from them but truth be told I'm disappointed with ASUS this time around but still waiting for Maximus VIII Formula nonetheless, let's see how that goes.

I mean you can still go Quad SLI but with reduced speed lanes which is just not acceptable when spending that kind of dough. Period.

the formula line was never quad gpu always tri ...but that kinda money there asking and not quad or atleast 16x 8x 8x 8x on the slots was a must .....maximus line / then there sabertooth tuf series / gene series / hero / ranger ..what crap names for a big company
