DS4 vs Xbox One S controller for Tekken 7

Hi all,

I currently play Tekken 7 on PC with my keyboard. I wanted some feedback from those who have used both Xbox One S controller and Dual Shock 4, which one is better for Tekken 7 specifically?
I already own a One S controller but I find quarter circle movements difficult on it. I used to own PS one and played Tekken 3 on it all the time and found the PS controller well suited for the game.
So, should I sell my One S controller for a DS4?
Is there a difference between DS4 and its 2016 rev version? Is it easily supported on windows 7? Are there any features besides the touch pad that I will lose when using DS4 on PC.
I prefer connecting controller with micro USB so lack of Bluetooth is no big deal. Thanks in advance.

Get the DS4 for fighters, many pros use the ds4. The light bar version (v2) has better button/triggers quality and the thumb grip is much better and won't be torn as quickly as the one on the old controller did. The only thing that i don't like on the new controller is that it has grey buttons instead of being black which is an objective thing. The latency is also better on the newer model iirc. As for the support on windows and stuff you can use DS4Windows.

P.S: I use the newer ds4 on pc too for fighters, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The new DS4 with light bar on touch pad is better than old DS4. I have used both and felt the new DS4's Dpad more comfortable while executing moves. The weight is also good and gives you good grip.
Also its lag free. I am using BT 3.0 device to connect my DS4 and there isn't any lag.

I play Mishimas and Hwoarang on new version of DS4 (execution heavy characters), and I'm pretty consistant with movement, just frames, diagonals etc. I think it's pretty solid for fighters. I used xbox one controller once for MKX, I think it's good but DS4 is definitely way better imo.

Hmmmm, I too play Kazuya and couldn't get a single EGWF using the One S controller. I manage to hit it with the keyboard about 30 percent of the time.

One thing though, how to tell the revised version from the old version of DS4? I am planing to buy it online on black Friday sale so I need pointers to check using the images as seller may not have pictures of the serial number. [MENTION=38055]Yasir Nadeem[/MENTION] did mention gray color of buttons, but are there any other visual differences?

The biggest difference (i say it cause it confirms that the controller is the newer one) is the light bar in the touchpad while physical difference is only the grey buttons.

Yup light bar on touch pad is the biggest difference. New DS4 has it but its only visible when the controller is switched on.
