After Valve's $3M Boston Major Dota 2 tournament has ended (Yup OG won it), Dota 2 hits patch 7.00 with massive changes expected. Teasing the release of the game's next patch cycle (patch's landing site.) its strange they're jumping from 6.88 straight to 7.00 which will bring some major changes.
The 7.00 patch will go live on the test client at 5pm GMT / 12pm EST / 9am PST tomorrow. To show the worth of patch MrLizard himself updated twitter for the release news
Its not over yet. The long awaited Monkey King (Sun Wukong) will also be joining us with this patch. It will be the first "original" Dota 2 hero being released.
Ok guys its here. As expected the following new stuff were included:

The biggest surprise is gameplay changes. Similar to Heroes of the Storm' talent system you now have choice to choose specific skills at 10, 15, 20 and 25-level.
The next up is Backpack. Backpack:which lets you carry around three extra items, as well as the six in your item slots. You cannot use these three items unless you swap them into an active item slot, but they can be used to combine into items if you have all the components of the recipe.The Ancients have unveiled a new way to help heroes adapt to the needs of each battle. Every hero has gained a series of Hero Talents that players can select at levels 10/15/20/25, offering powerful augmentations to their capabilities.
New HUD: With pre game flow different than before. Looks like arcade fighting game now.
The game world updated with new jungles, runes and more getting a thorough reworking. Now there will be one Powerup Rune (haste, invisibility etc) while Bounty runes spawn in the jungles. Bounties only fill two charges of a bottle, though, still a fighting point for mid lane.Other than this there are new building namely Shrines. They provide a healing aura when activated and have a significant cooldown. They're located near to each team's secret shop and can be destroyed once the tier 2 towers have started to destruct.
And the grand addition. Introducing Monkey King. The Dota 2 first original hero. Its not over. It comes with Arcana already and a new Chinese festival map. Sweets for everyone. Interesting abilities details are below.
Boundless Strike (Q)
Monkey King slams the earth in front of him creating a straight line of critical damage which also stuns his opponents.
Tree Dance (W)
Wukong can jump from treetop to treetop able to traverse the jungle quickly and in unconventional routes.
Primal Spring (W in trees)
Monkey King chooses an area on the ground to jump to from the top of the tree he is perched on. Enemies in the landing area take damage and are stunned depending on how long the ability was channeled for.
Jingu Mastery (E passive)
Allows Monkey King to imbue his staff with power after a certain number of strikes on a single enemy, providing bonus damage and lifesteal for a certain number of attacks.
Monkey King can change into the form of runes, trees, a courier or even dropped items (such as Iron Branches) in order to deceive or elude enemies.
Wukong's Command (SS)
Monkey King summons an army of stone soldier clones in a massive AoE around him which will fight any enemies that stray near to them.
ADDITIONAL HERO LEVEL CHANGES
- Ultimate levels are now at 6/12/18
- Heroes no longer have the attribute bonus ability
- Heroes now have 4 Talents that can be leveled at level 10/15/20/25. Each level gives you two bonuses to choose between. Each hero has their own unique set of bonuses; see below for the list of bonuses.
- XP required to reach Level 12 is the same as previous Level 11 (level 2 ultimate)
- XP required to reach Level 18 is the same as previous Level 16 (level 3 ultimate)
- XP required to reach Level 25 is the same as previous Level 23
- Smoothed out XP progression from level 8->13 to be always incrementing
- XP Table updated to reflect changes.
