The management issues are real bad it seems but not surprised by the delay. Confirming Nov 19 release a day ago adds insult to the injury though and gives the impression that no one knows anything in the studio.

Think this is the real reason for the delays. Like I said previously, a game this complex is a QA nightmare and consoles are really gonna struggle with this. Also explains the relatively short delay, which, failing certification again, would result in another one.

Makes sense, especially if factors outside their control, like certification, has contributed to this delay. Not sure if they should have controlled for that in their release date announcements but at least their public communication should support their official version and that's a problem on their end.

I be doing the big sad hehe TT.
On the brightside that guy on twitter actually got reached out by CD PROJEKT and he's super wholesome and said he was going to give away anything he got to charity and got a little bit of twitter fame off it. Dude seems really nice and genuine used it to promote some good causes and just have fun w/his twitter feed. His boss re-adjusted his time off!

ABOUT THE DELAY: "This situation is different" compared to previous changes to the deadline - the game for PC is ready and plays well on next-gen consoles and the company is finalizing the process concerning current gen consoles.

GAME ITSELF: "We are really sure we have something amazing in our hands" and once the game is released, "everyone will understand" why it was so difficult. "Don't get us wrong, we are kind of internally stressed on the one hand, but on the other we feel very strong about the game." and "We are super happy with what we will deliver."

lolol

Also, does a studio commonly refer to their work as amazing? Only time I've seen it is from people working at CDPR. If ex-staff does it, that's different. But people currently employed by the company constantly calling their game amazing prior to release is just lol. Even if it does turn out amazing, it's a really weird thing to say.

my anticipation and hype for the game has now turned into prayers and well wishes for the dev team to come out of this with their mental, physical and emotional health intact..

also I pray that people who go like "but no one is forcing them, and they get paid for overtime" and "they should feel super lucky to be working on this and shouldnt complain" develop some level of empathy.
The crunch burnout keeps effecting developers and their families long after the game has shipped.
