Cyberpunk senior quest designer, Patrick K. Mills, said on the Night City Wire stream that the main story was shortened due to complaints and a "tremendous" number of people not completing Witcher 3's main story.

^ he's right ya know. Over 70% of the PS4 user base has yet to finish the game.

I'm guessing other open-world games face this issue as well, although TW3 was really long. But that's a trade-off I guess. Some people won't like long open-world games but for those who do, the more the merrier. Maybe there's a good compromise to be made by leaving a lot of content for optional side quests than extending the main story.

If by recommended CDPR means 1080p @ 30fps with max settings and RT off, those specs should run it fine with a GPU setting or two dropped below max. Since they're favoring an i7 for recommended, it might need turning down the NPC slider or some other CPU dependent setting by a few notches. Though, the single core performance gap between the i7-4790K and the i5-9600k could make up for it.

Question, will the following specs handle the recommended settings?

i5 9600K
ASUS 1050 Ti OC Edition
WD Black NVMe
16GB RAM
Specs are likely for 1080p30 at Medium or High settings. But that might not be the highest it'll go. Med/High 1080p30 should run reasonably well on that machine.

This game will be CPU intensive as much as GPU intensive. i7 is the minimum anyone should have for a stable 60fps experience.

For RED Engine comparison sake, the recommended settings for Witcher 3 (i7/GTX 770) were only good for stable 1080p30 Medium settings (variable 30-45fps).

The eyes chico, they never lie. This looks so so good. Going first person was the best decision they made for this game.

And a bonus shot (taken from a video) for @Leon showing the fantastic detail and subsurface scattering on the arms.

As someone who loves Mass Effect trilogy (minus the shitty ending), I'd say those games were "weakest" in the gameplay department. Got better with each game tho, and Andromeda ended up with the great combat.

Cyberpunk however is shaping up to have fantastic shooting mechanics. Not just compared to RPG, but shooters in general (y)

Reality: a modern current-gen game (that's likely to receive downgrades, much like TW3 did)

Makes sense why some are latching to gun combat, those gifs look hilarious. Also, not sure if they're from a bad source but it also looks like the animations are missing frames in between them (no I'm not talking about the cut to a different moment in the last scene before someone thinks :p )
