Isn't this supposed to be straight up 'boost mode' on next-gen consoles, but at base Xbox One/Ps4 settings? I'm thinking even Max Q laptops will provide a better experience at launch since you're A-OK with 30fps

they said there will be some minor enhancements on day one, with a more substantial batch probably for things like raybtracing coming next year, or maybe we will have a rt patch day one who knows?

Pre-order were placed blind, but atleast console folks will get some footage.

I wouldn't worry too much about performance on base consoles. If the engine can scale all the way down to the Switch, it shouldn't be that bad. The necessary sacrifices to the visuals, LoD, and NPC count will obviously be made.
