I basically don't game much as iam quite busy these days thats what happens when you get older. LOL. anyways so i already have a ps4 and its quite decent in overall gaming experience but my younger brother insisted me that we need a gaming pc for all that FPS blah blah you know, so i said okay lemme see. Since iam on a tight budget I was looking to use my existing mobo which only supports upto 3rd gen processors. I was thinking to pair 3rd gen i7 with GTX 1080 will that be enough? I need more than 60 FPS on high settings. Suggest me your thoughts and ideas. Thanks

What's your current setup right now? If you're running a core i5 then all you need is a gpu. Btw I don't see the need to use a pc. If running fps games with a mouse & a keyboard is your goto reason for switching to pc, then isn't there already support of using keyboard & mouse hardware on ps4?
Games on Pc are poorly optimised & there is a big community of cheaters on pc game servers.
Core I7 3rd gen & a 1080 is more than enough for the current gen, but I'm not so sure about the next gen Pc games.
Maybe someone with a better understanding will guide you better.
