So i want to gift my parents something which is modern, performance oriented but is cheap. Q-Mobile isn't going to cut it for them because needs are increasing.

I just want the opinions from the people here about the soon-to-launch Samsung M20? I can spend upto 40k something on each handset, but i was just thinking if we really have something better available? I have checked the GSM Arena's phone finder option and in a budget of $200 to $300 USD ... there are about 200 options, and only this Samsung M20 stands out from the rest.

Other options from Huawei look pretty good on paper, but are too similar to each other. Xiaomi's has some great devices, but having read the specs sheet of Redmi Note 7 PRO version (which is rumored to release soon), i changed my mind from their current iteration.

Any thoughts about this?

You're better off with something from Nokia. The 6 series is really good for the price.
I had a chance to use the Nokia 7.1. What a gorgeous piece of device. But that screen is just so ... dull. Plus, i'm not sold on the performance and battery life of the device.

Any other recommendation, as per your understanding?

Nokia's Android one is kinda clunky and doesn't feel entirely like stock Android should, however, it's not bad at all. I turned down the animations on my sister's Nokia 7 Plus and she hasn't complained about performance at all.

Battery is fantastic as well, the device was purchased in June and it still manages to give around 7 hours of SOT.

The M20 will probably be sold at an unreasonable price of 50+ once it launches, so I wouldn't eagerly wait for it.

With the insane dollar rate, you can't get a lot of decent stuff at 40k. Xiaomi, Nokia and Huawei. All with minor differences in performance and features.
Just depends on what suits your parents the most.
