Asking for recommendations for ISP in my area (PGECHS Phase 2 Lahore)

Salam!

So I've finally decided to burn our ZONG 4G device and switch to broadband or fibre.

I live in Punjab Government Employees Cooperative Housing Society (PGECHS) Phase 2 (Near Wapda Town).

I know for a fact that PTCL broadband is available in my area. I've applied for a connection with them but almost a week has passed and there's no progress on installation. Some guys did called me and asked me to pay the installation charges in advance before they'll come for installation while the helpline strictly advises me to not pay anything in advance since installation charges will be a part of the monthly bill and patiently wait while they file complaints upon complaints. I decided to use this time to look for other services.

Initially I thought about using StormFiber. Sadly, they're available in every society around us (PCSIR Phase 2, Nespak Phase 2) but not here for some unknown reason. My house literally touches the boundaries of PCSIR Phase 2 and there's like no distance between those boundaries (like two houses in a row). So I'm not sure why they don't expand here or could offer me fiber coverage. Well I don't know how most of this stuff works so yeah.

So here's my question. Is there anyone who can actually recommend me a solid ISP in my area. The guys at PTCL are giving me a headache and honestly I just need an alternative to stay far far away from PTCL.

Jazakallah!!

Try confirming what type of connection PTCL is offering.

Visit the exchange and ask them if it's VDSL or GPON. If it's either one, push them to send someone to set up the connection.

If it's neither of those, it's ADSL2. The old crappy lines that are being phased out in most major cities.

Get in touch with Transworld, Optix, BrainNET or Wateen and find out if they're available in your area. They also offer fiber broadband in Lahore.

Yep It is VDSL ADSL_2plus (from modem statistics). The modem itself says VDSL2 on the box. I guess it probably just supports both but line itself is ADSL2.
They installed the connection today. But oh well, I applied for 15 Mbps connection with Smart TV and they instead activated 8 Mbps package and no Smart TV.

Tysm for your reply. I'm really grateful to you :)

Please see my updated post too.
The line is ADSL_2plus from Modem -> Statistics -- xDSL. I contacted them about speed upgrade. They told me I need higher line confidence? It's at 66% right now and it should be at-least 80%.

And oh, should I call the exchange to upgrade it to VDSL?
Calling exchange rarely works since they almost never pick up the phone.

Call 1218 and tell them you asked for VDSL, and they provided a lower-speed ADSL connection instead.

Thanks and one more thing.
For VDSL upgrade, do they also replace the copper line to my router or they just do a simple switch at the backend. Asking this because I was thinking of managing that huge copper cable which is just lying on the floor right now. :')

Depends on the current cable. In most cases they don't need to change it and it's a backend switch.

Yep. Tysm. The line supports VDSL. I also contacted the exchange. They said they'll do the upgrade tomorrow. Now I just hope that they actually do and I don't have to call them lol.

So after one week of constantly pushing them they sort of upgraded the line to VDSL. Modem now shows VDSL2 in statistics.
The problem? Well they only changed the damn line or whatever. I contacted 1218 for the updated username and password and they told me that our connection is still ADSL. Now I'm just stuck with no internet connection and no idea wth to do.
This is the worst experience I've ever had ...
