Always been a Oneplus fan, in fact it's the Oxygen OS I'm in love with.
Currently owning a 8pro 12/256 variant and looking to switch, suggestions?

Won't be spending tons just an exchange or few grands above what it sells for.

So confused! Please help 😭

Thought of note 20 ultra but the ultrasonic fingerprint is just shit and no so-fast charging, my experience with the s20+ was just the WORST of times.
Oppo color os is overfilled, else I would have bought the find x2 Pro.
Not sure about the mi 10/mi 10 pro.
Oneplus 9 is just not worth it and 9pro is soo expensive yet!

What specs are you usually looking for? When buying a phone, I do consider the memory and how long will the battery last. I'm not much into the designs.

Tbh, I want a excellent display that has high refresh rate and is not lcd, super fast charging and excellent battery and flagship like performance (although I do not game, but can't wait for the apps to open lol). Cameras and design is the very least of my priorities.

Worst battery, average cameras, useless fingerprint scanner and above all, it feels nothing like a premium device.
Truth.
Worst flagship so far in my opinion.

I'm personally using a Mi Note 10 Lite,
Gives you all the flavors of the flagship mi 10, minus the specs and a few other downsides which don't bother me.

But honestly, what exactly are you looking for in a phone?
That answer should be enough to provide some options.

if you can find the Mi Note 10 (Pro or not) in a good price, get that.
Only downside is the shitty UI bugs that come up every now and then but rest is okay.

It's outdated though.
So don't get it anywhere near the MSRP xD

There are definitely other phones out there that are way better to recommend than this.

but yeah, the Chinese phones are definitely a fit for your criteria.

Will they be an upgrade over my existing op8 Pro?

oh no, you're losing spec-wise around 20% performance difference.
The optimization is why I recommended it.

Using the GCAM app on it also gives you a lot of improvement with the camera which is a HUGE plus.

Ultimately, you're still downgrading though.
So maybe might not be lucrative at all.

Personally if you want an all-rounder, Apple might be the way to go.
outside of this, Only OPPO, Xiaomi, and Huawei's got the package you want.

Ok at this point, I've no idea what I'm talking about.
Been a year since I last looked into the mobile market lol

LOL! Honestly I'm so done with replacing phones so frequently that I just sometimes think of selling all and start a hippi life.
I know I'd never be satisfied with my phone, probably I need some other 'masroofiat' 😭

BTW I'm probably thinking of a 11 Pro max this time however I've never liked an iPhone in past.

Are you sure bro I have S20+ and I am very happy, camera is flagship level, FP scanner is super fast and reliable and battery life is also very decent (1080p resolution with 60Hz), Yes I will agree it looks exactly like A71 should have made it look more premium.

Honestly if OP 8 pro and S20+ couldnt satisfy you I guess nothing will

Being a OnePlus 8 Pro user myself i would say wait till the next itteration of cellphones arrive as I dont think its a considerable upgrade to move from SD865 to 888 since there is hardly any technological leap in phone models launching every 6 months approx

You should upgrade by atleast skipping 2 models. I jumped from OnePlus 3T to 8 Pro. 3T is still working fine even though it has gone through hell and to be honest OP 8pro didnt even feel like a huge technological leap to me. I mean its a great phone but not getting the same satisfaction that i got when I purchased 3T.

Moral of the story: Dont jump into the next phone so quickly. Let the technology evolve a little bit before moving on to your next phone.

My personal experience. Stay away from Samsung. I dont know but they never feel like a premium cellphone to me and I hate their UI. Once I used Oxygen OS, every other version feels slow and bloated to me. I have seen people complaining about S21 Ultra that it doesnt feel as flagship as Samsung hyped it to be in terms of features.

Quite possibly the best advice right now.

Honestly, I've started to feel the same.
I should rather stick to this op8p for now then.

Anyways I had an op8 just before this and trust me, it had CONSIDERABLY better battery and thermals. I'm not happy with the battery on pro.
What's your experience? Could it be that my particular phone is at fault?
It runs roughly 5 or 5:30 HR at max and is noticeably warmer too.
Ps: I run 1440p 120hz 4g all day. (fully clocked op8 would have ATLEAST 6hrs of SOT for reference).

How long have you been using your phone? Because if its too long, there's a high chance that the performance of the phone be degraded no matter how careful you are.

It's a 8 month old device, nothing unusual there.

I just downgraded to oneplus 8, it has a much better battery and is also significantly better at thermal management.

I would say the battery is good, nothing spectacular but its not a huge problem as DASH charging helps to mitigate the problem. You can easily charge it upto approx 60% in 30 mins or So.

I use it at 1440p 120Hz but I keep it on Power Saving mode as I think in Normal mode the battery drains a bit faster.

What is peoples obsession with Battle Royale genre. 6 minutes to find a match, 3 minutes to setup a match, 2 minutes to land, 10 minutes for scavanging maybe 2 3 gunfigts and its over. Multiplayer landscape is looking absolute dogshit.
I tried playing Apex Legends once. Couldn't find a gun for 5 minutes straight. If I found a gun, I couldn't find the right ammo for it. Got killed fighting with my fists. Uninstalled it the next day.
