I dont understand why people dislike the capped bandwidth so much. Nor do I understand why Nayatel is being hated so much. I remember being a PTCL user for around 6 years after which I switched to Nayatel. For the past two years, I do not think the connection has been dead for more than two hours; that too after being informed days earlier. They do offer unlimited downloads during the weekends and the night/peak hours at any house hold. YouTube (and other high traffic) streaming ports are separate and unlimited as well.

You get what you pay for at Nayatel imho.

Har cheez routing par a k kyun ruk jati hai? You think an ISP is just going to start giving customized routing to anyone who calls in? Let me tell you my experience. There was an issue in my ONT. On the same day, at 9PM, they came over and installed a new one and left at 11PM. You wanna compare it with PTCL? PTCL folks, even if they do visit your premises, won't do it after 5PM. A few days ago there was an issue with the UPS of the ONT. Guess what, they came on the same day and replaced it. They send you emails days in advance for a scheduled downtime.

But no, meri routing nae theek ki so their customer care is the same as PTCL. Some retarded as fuck logic you have. Go live on PTCL for 6 months and tell me if you still want to hold onto that statement.
the only reason i started with nayatel years and years ago was better pings and good routes i mean meri phuphi kay bachay hain routes pay baat na karoon or data caps ka na kahoon ? why do we pay more money get much inferior speeds and yet complain bhi na karein?
compare their packages with ptcl and ull see how messed and horrible their packages are
i have a 20mbps ptcl line never had a single complain about connection being out , yet the pings are horrible in comparison with nayatel so if i dont have good routes and pings are nayatel its useless for me
just because wo tumharay ghar 9 bjay ont laga gaye doesnt mean u have to suck their dick eternaly
the packages are shit compared to even ptcl
data caps
cant compete with ptcl landline
i dont have ptcls smarttv so dont know how it holds up
wants extra 500 rupees to get u unlimited 30mbps speed on netflix ( which i can bet u doesnt even stream 4k with their routing)and youtube
dont even give a static ip
if u want a static ip and want ur routes optimized
PackagesSpeedVolumePrice (Rs.)Rate/add. 100MB (Rs.)
CONNECT 857Mbps85 GB2,5004

this is the package they want you to get there are no unlimited download times with it so good luck with that

and u are defending these shitty practices just because they came to your home at 9pm and fixed your ont? wtf

I've already explained the data cap and speed thing in a lot of detail in the posts above. Go read it. Masla tumhari sirf gaming ka hai aur kuch nae.

Why so much hate against nayatel?, I'm using Rs 1700 Package with Rs 200 unlimited bundle, i got over 340GB in excess, Their customer support is great if compared with PTCL which is nothing but garbage. Given the competition and economy we have, criticizing nayatel isn't gonna help, You just can't get high internet speeds while paying minimal amount.

Nayatel overall is great. The usual quips being the capped mornings and paid customer service.

Though one can stretch it, ingeniously at that. Like you can be an angry customer, phoning the customer service multiple times and always blaming them for the equipment etc. Soon they associate an angry customer profile with that customer, thus, we don't need to call multiple times now. That way we usually don't get to pay anything. But occasionally there are times that we have to pay about ~400-800 per visit.

There is also the minor stuff like their packages are now far outdated and outpaced by competitors in other areas. Routing is not optimized etc. But that is not going to change unless a competitor lands in their areas. Its perfectly normal monopolistic behavior. It is bad and should be considered bad.

As for routing, ISPs like cybernet and TES do optimize on request. Sometimes on the same support call.

I have been part of a recent multi-billion rupee deal to supply and manage (till eternity) over 100Gbps of bandwidth in an area, near the new Islamabad international airport. I was the consultant. There were 4 candidates, Multinet, TES, Cybernet and COMSATS. Multinet won the deal with some backroom manipulation while TES was finalized otherwise.

Only TES and COMSATS had coverage there. In fact, TES uses the Mobilink backhaul for most purposes as they are sister companies, making it have coverage everywhere Mobilink exists. I had a little side talk with them and they said that their main concern is commercial expansion, home expansion is second priority. They are currently upgrading the whole Mobilink backhaul to support the newly launched 4G services. They are also the main bandwidth provider for Telenor.

Data cap is stupid but then again you don't have any FTTH ISP that even compares to the scale at which Nayatel operates. When Fiberlink will start serving the whole of Lahore while maintaining their packages, maybe then the argument may apply.
Area and population density wise, Fiberlink may actually covers a larger portion of Lahore than Nayatel covers Islamabad. Keep in mind that urban Islamabad is about only 1/4 the area of urban Lahore, while Lahore is nearly 6 times as big population wise. But what I didn't get was why are you comparing them with Fiberlink? There are several other ISPs that you could use as an example. Also, even when Nayatel was small, they still had data caps so it has nothing to do with size.

Which other ISPs do you want me to compare them to? Stormfiber, I think, is even smaller. PTCL FTTH has not expanded beyond 1 sector in Islamabad in forever. And speaking of Fiberlink, from the reviews I've read and heard, the ISP has more downtime than uptime. So all that unlimited bandwidth comes at a serious expense of reliability.
