about the character design
i am a crappy artist and even i can design a character like Lightning
point is its about how the character design fits in with how the rest of the world is designed (not that i am saying lightning's design didnt fit in)
Look at Ezio Auditore for example, outfit dekho yaar uska and look at the rest of the world, ano kha lagta hay -_-( and hes supposed to blend in on the contrary)
ff12's art style was a blend of old armor designs(eg the judges) and futuristic science fiction
where as ff13 was completely futuristic
ff13's environment design was a treat seriously
its what kept me going through out
though i wish 13 was a bit more open world and had more character control
i mean...you get to modify your party after chapter 10 and the game ends on the 13th -_-
the political aspect in 12 gave it a more mature approach
graphics sucked ofcourse it was ps2 man
and always remember the more open world it is the suckier are the models

in 13 it was just Sazh. Its characters will fade as time passes
and about the story
the story was very Norse Myth inspired
not the first time they have been inspired by norse myth(odin summon)
but this time it had more to do with the story (ragnarok= end of everything)
