Man I just opened PG after months and surprised to see a Destiny thread semi-active here.
I've been playing Forsaken since launch and it's been the best managed release they've accomplished with the franchise, surpassing the hype for the Taken King by 10 or so miles. And with the release of the...
Connection is excellent. I get ~140 ms ping every game and its glorious. It has improved much better from launch days, and also since I changed ISP about 1.5 years ago from PTCL to TES.
I'm usually online playing Arena every other day.
GT: USUF117
Usually rank high Onyx in Arena and Slayer. Prefer playing the HCS playlist since it's less frustrating and less riddled with cheap autos.
Can't wait to return to the world of Destiny. It's been several months that I stopped playing after I completed all the story content from all the expansions.
Destiny 2, from all the recent EDZ gameplay (as well as some leaked gameplays from another planet) looks to be something I could easily...
I agree the PC version looks loads better.
Though here's a very quick look on all the PC settings at E3 from a very popular Destiny youtuber. You can see the FOV slider is not here, and most settings are set to "medium".
This is not the only person to have said that the PC settings aren't final.
Funny. Because even aside from this tweet, I've heard them say the settings menu in the PC should not be taken as the final version, and that they're still working on certain things.
Maybe a Bungie intern told DF the wrong info lol
Apparently PC version at E3 is not even using max settings across the board. The PC lead for the game says its "high-ish". Probably because the version is still under development.

Here's a very interesting fan theory after Bungie's announcement about network today.
Bungie's changes to their networking model is great and should be given a chance. : DestinyTheGame
This has me asking more questions however, so let's take a step back and review this.
In Destiny 1, the...
I wouldn't know. I can only provide anecdotal facts that Destiny 1 was never "hacked" in pvp on consoles, and cases of lag switching were extremely rare. Rarer than the internet or gaming-side neogaf would have you believe. I've sunk more than 1,500 hours into that game so I can provide some...
What's more interesting is their talk on networking in Destiny 2 and how that's changed since the first game.
So why no dedicated servers?
Matt Segur, Engineering Lead on Destiny 2: Every activity in Destiny 2 is hosted by one of our servers. That means you will never again suffer a host...
Is it just me or people lately seem to defend every bad game design decision made by the devs and try to give bullshit reasons for that? Or perhaps it's because I'm on reddit and discord
