Shader compilation will happen to everyone so if there are conflicting reports then something else is going on. I think one of the review mentioned compiling them is an option so maybe NXgamer started without doing so?

Man, the 3d audio is amazing in this one.

Completed the first chapter, fantastic so far!

Also, for this game, I dont mind the 30 fps mode at all! The controls are responsive and it feels super smooth plus, it looks fkin amazing too save for some shimmer here and there when moving in the elevators etc.

So for this, my preferred mode is the Graphics mode!

First resolution findings are big yikes and completely goes against what EA Motive claimed in their tweet.

Xbox Series X
- Quality Mode: 1440p/30fps with VRS | RT ON
- Performance Mode: Dynamic 2048x1080p with VRS | RT OFF

PS5
- Quality Mode: 1440p/30fps with VRS | RT ON
- Performance Mode: Dynamic 2048x1080p with VRS | RT OFF

Made worse by the fact that VRS is always engaged. Always an option on PC but seems to be forced there too.

Lets see what DF/VGTech analysis show.

I think they must be using FSR2 or a (very good) custom upscale solution cause the raw pixel count seems too low for the IQ at display. Or maybe the games dark nature does a good job hiding it along with the heavy post processing.

The performance mode looks HELLA soft, I think it definitely might be 1080p!

but how stable is the performance ?

also you're playing on PS5 which has an additional VRS related issue compared to Xbox, so you're probably getting the lowest end of the next-gen stuff.

I chose the graphics mode straight away. It felt extremely responsive & smooth! Unlike many 30 fps games these days!

Performance mode was buttery smooth as usual.

There is slight stuttering.
It still stutters lol
Some stutter, but small.
Even tho it has a shader compilation before starting the game, i still have quite a bit of stutters while playing. Why is this happening? Ugh
Traversal stutters.
I ended up capping the framerate to 60hz and the game pretty much stays at 60 until I enter a new area and then I get about a one second bout of stuttering.
Classic asset loading stutters 🤷‍♂️:LOL:

Enjoys stuttering on PS5 games, talks about severity, enjoys Lolzonetta3, then tries to make a big deal over "slight" stutters. That's one approach 🤣

Or maybe that level of aggressive VRS was needed to hit the target frame rate 🤷‍♂️

No upscaler is overcoming that and atleast on PC there should be an option to disable it.
The fact that it's a hard coded option even on PC means it's a part of their engine pipeline regardless of whether the game would have been able to hit 60 with or without it.

Also, according to John, this aggressive-ness is mostly an issue on PS5 with its software VRS. On Xbox, where it has native hardware support, it's not, or less, of an issue.

But Bayonetta 3 never had stutter to begin with. Only acceptable levels of judder 🤷‍♂️ :LOL:

The stutters during Retooornal's area loads were pretty bad tho.

    I tried playing Apex Legends once. Couldn't find a gun for 5 minutes straight. If I found a gun, I couldn't find the right ammo for it. Got killed fighting with my fists. Uninstalled it the next day.
