Sony PlayStation 5 : Play Has No Limits

PS5 Release Date, PS5 Games, PS5 Power vs Xbox One X, PS5 Price Speculation - All the PS5 Info lets discuss

Here are all the rumors and speculation surrounding the PS5, including a potential PS5 release date, power, and launch games of Sony's inevitable PS5. Is the PS5 releasing in 2019?

What we Want From the PS5 Speculation aside, what would we ideally want from the PS5? Backwards compatibility for PS4 games would be brilliant, simply because you'd be able to carry over classics like the Shadow of the Colossus remake to the next console generation. We've seen how well Microsoft is handling backwards compatibility with its Xbox One consoles (including getting amazing results updating Xbox 360 games to run in 4K on Xbox One X), and something similar on PS5 would be great.

In terms of pure power, the PlayStation 5 has to significantly exceed the power of the Xbox One X. This means featuring more games running in 4K at 60FPS. If the PS5 can deliver about 10 TF of power we'd be happy, as this would allow devs to create games that look a generation ahead of what we've got now.

But what would the dream launch lineup be for the PS5? Death Stranding and The Last of Us: Part 2 are hugely anticipated blockbuster games, with the former especially looking to push the performance of whatever system it's on to the very limit. We've also mentioned Ghost of Tsushima and a sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn, and the latter would be the perfect way to kick off a new console cycle from Sony.

So PS4 games can be patched to run at 120Hz on the PS5 after all. Warzone looks to be doing a good job of holding the 120fps target for a majority of the time (8.33ms frame time 97.6% of the time, 107fps 5th percentile frame rate).

The Xbox One version running on the Series X didn't fare so well back in December. Not sure if things have improved since then.

You've to turn off HDR, turn on performance mode in game profiles, set output resolution to 1080p and what not to make it work, not worth it for a game that I only occasionally play.

Even after I select 1080p, it would output at 4K 120Hz which is weird and idk how they made it work, still seems to be designed around the limitations of HDMI 2.0 of PS4 PRO to make it work I guess?

lmao @ Sony sending me another invite. Clearly a broken system.

Just like last time, the invite is tied to the PSN account associated with the email address. Going to help a friend get one at retail price.

@Chandoo if you also received a 2nd invite you aren't planning on using, drop me a PM. Will also get one for my nephew :p

WTF @ $47 tax. Had it shipped to a friend's place in Texas. Last time around, I had my console shipped to Amaga's contact in a different state, but there was no tax involved. Was probably a tax-free zone.

Anyway, the friend I'm getting this for would still be paying far less than local prices here in Pakistan for both the console and the controller.

Dunno why anyone would want one at this point, though. Returnal and Ratchet are excellent, but there's nothing else on the Horizon (pun intended) to look forward to. My PS5 is simply going to be a machine that plays Call of Duty / Guilty Gear for the forseeable future while my Nintendo Switch gets all the attention 🤷‍♂️

Switch oled k baad Sony bhi Josh Mai agya
Pretty normal for Sony to release revisions for their consoles since PS3 days but this one's coming a bit sooner than usual.

There's a slight chance that they're using 6nm process for APU but I won't bet on it but it's inevitable
