Yeah, just called and canceled my pre order, gonna get this after a few weeks when it's available cheaper and used lol.
Apparently, after the 24GB 1.03, there's also a 13 GB 1.04 patch rolled out for the game today. I think it's better to just wait until they've sorted their shit out and possibly optimized the patch sizes a bit more too so we're not downloading the entire game again.

I guess it makes it a little better if they're directly referencing the show this game's borrowing it's central aesthetic from.

For shame though. As a fan of the show, wasting such an influence on a generic af zombie game is sad.

Man, the Giant Bomb quick look makes the game look pretty damn good. I guess the reviewers lens didn't favor well for the game.
The Order is easily an 80 game imo. Its fun while it lasts and pretty good to look at. I wish Sony had put their money behind Ready at Dawn than Sony Bend.
Anyway, not surprised at Days Gone reviews. As far as I'm concerned, it's one of those games you pick up (when it's cheap) to roam around and look at the environments.

7 years ago, PS3 was active and a first party studio is an accredited developer in some of these games like The Order 1886.

I agree with you on Order 1886, its not as bad a game as people point it out to be. Sure its no God of War meta 90s game but it sure is no 60 scorer either. I have played the first few hours of Days Gone and it seems to be a pretty decent game at the moment. Again, it sure isnt a 90s game but definitely an above average 80ish game (at the moment) for me similar to the experiences that I have had with other decent open world games like Far Cry, Watch Dogs 2 etc. I think Days Gone's scores tanked a lot because of the inherent expectations that we have from the PS Exclusive club.
The voice acting is awful by any standards. Triggered at the wrong time, syncing issues and this is the main protagonist:

The writing's certainly bad in the above example, but at the very least Bend are patching the shit out of the game (not that frequent patches are a good thing either). The game's already on version 1.07 with another patch a today.
I'm glad I canceled the day 1 pre-order, will wait a few weeks for it to become available pre-owend on estarland before picking it up. By then most of the game's kinks (performance, clipping, texture streaming) should be resolved and hell they might even add more accessibility options.
