[OT] Official Anime Recommendation/Watching Currently Thread!

HxH is the obvious choice. It's one of the top choice in my list when it comes to shounen like naruto, bleach, one piece etc the other one being D. Gray Man. And remember to watch the 2011 version.
However if you are looking for a shorter series. HxH is 130-160 episodes long iirc. You can watch Parasyte: The Maxim. Action packed anime with a good plot overall.
Might want to check out Psycho Pass and ACCA 13 as well. If you are into smart and OP characters then also check out No Game No Life and mahouka koukou no rettousei. Both super fun and good.

ACCA 13. Its extremely underrated.
On another note, just finished watching Tokyo Ghoul:re. S2 was atrocious cause they went a different route than the manga but Re has been pretty decent overall. Pacing issues here and there. I feel like they didn't do a good enough job in building Haise's character up, it was just me cheering on Kaneki everytime lol. Last episode delivered though and it will get awesome from now on. Can't wait for Re's S2 in October.
Also, Grancest Senki wasn't as atrocious as I thought. The pacing is absolutely bad, but its a surprisingly fun anime to binge watch. Just don't expect too much out of it.

Just finished watching this new anime Hinamatsuri and damn it was an awesome anime.

I am currently watching ghost in the shell stand alone complex 2nd gig. I like the franchise. The movies are good as well.
I only care about stuff that has got some artistic value. Some other anime that I have watched and have a high opinion of are Mushishi, Texhnolyze, Haibane Renmei, The Tatami Galaxy and Serial Experiments Lain. Ergo Proxy also tries to be deep but gets a bit too ostentatious for my liking. Death Note is quite shallow and superficial.

Might want to give Steins Gate, Psycho Pass, FMA: Brotherhood a go. Code Geass as well, its a bit like Death Note but I found it more enjoyable.
I suppose you are quite into psychological anime in which case try Monster, Zetsuen no Tempest
I just gave Zankyou no Terror a go after hearing lots of bad things about it's ending, and man what a wonderful anime.

anyhow Shingeki Nu Kyojin Season 3 is almost upon us.
Hahaha yeah, it was a weird one. I remember people losing their shit saying how good it was and then after episode 9 everyone was complaining lol. I mean it was a pretty good anime. The OST was bomb as well.
I just re-watched Zetsuen no Tempest, I forgot how amazing it was. The first half is seriously one of the best I've seen in an anime. The second half is a bit so so, but overall its pretty awesome anime. You guys should give it a go.
Already seen it, one of the better anime I've watched. I'm watching Hunter x Hunter (the old version this time) let's see which one I like more.
Oh and if you are into sci-fi things like many-worlds and such you should give "Noein: mou hitori no kimi e" a try.
It's a hidden gem and often gets overshadowed by steins gate.

I've watched hxh its better but naruto is good too if you don't count filler episodes

I'd say naruto doesn't even come near HxH. Except for some good story moments such as Itachi's backstory. There isn't any depth to Naruto's plot or atleast I didn't find any. Naruto comes just in time to save everyone. The one time Pain destroyed the fucking village, guess what, we have a jutsu that puts everyone back to life. When you do things like this, the characters deaths don't have any meaning any more.
HxH on the other hand feel more real. Plus nice characters (looking at Hisoka, Killua, Illumi) not a bunch of crybabies :lol:
