Jumanji 5/10
movie was okish, some humor and fun stuff but nothing very special
had this kind of feeling after watching the trailer, that it may not have a good story but fancy stuffsaw PACIFC RIM UPRISING tonight at cinestar IMAX
Spoiler: show
well the first part was much better was it was done by guilermo del toro but this one was OK in the fights part but not so much in the story and the plot hole it makes and such.
other than that i went in for the fights and robots and i think i got what i expected it to be. though only gypsy avenger was the robot and no other robots made any impact what so ever, nil impact like the robots in the first did each had its own style and swagger in this only gypsy avenger had that no other stood out.
even the kaijus were quite badly made in the first each was quite unique from each other..
fair to see this one can be a spinoff to pacific rim but not a sequel if i say so.
Rating: 7/10
yeah it was just that...had this kind of feeling after watching the trailer, that it may not have a good story but fancy stuff
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017): I have to say, this movie surprised me. It was a sequel nobody really asked for, and from the trailers, I wasn't expecting anything much. But it ended up being a blast, and did great at the box office, making almost a Billion Dollars worldwide, with critics and the general audience alike enjoying it.
The video game related humor was well-done, and being a gamer, I enjoyed it even more. Couple that with hilarious performances from the main cast, and it was one FUN adventure.
The Rock and Jack Black stole the show for me. Both were absolutely hilarious. Karren Gillan was also quite good and looked smokin hot. And they all portrayed their different personality well. Kevin Hart was the only one that felt like he was the odd one out. He was funny, don't get me wrong, but most of the times it just felt like Kevin Hart doing his usual routine instead of the persona in the movie. A small nitpick.
The villain was a complete MEH!, though. I would have wished they didn't even show his small scenes in between the movie as it broke the Video Game immersion (only appearing in cutscenes and in front of our heroes would have been better). The CGI was bad at times too, particularly in the last act.
Overall, a surprisingly hilarious time, with a heart. Definitely give it a watch, especially if you like playing video games.
Ferdinand (2017): Hmmm, a nice surprise. I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did.
The story had issues like sometimes it was too kid friendly or it didn't have enough build up in areas, but overall I enjoyed seeing it from a Bull's perspective. I hate the sport, so that made me root for our heroes.
The movie was legit hilarious at times for me. One of my favorite scenes was the dance-off between Bulls and Horses. Those horses just cracked me up. XD
I had no idea John Cena voiced Ferdinand, he did a good job. All of the voice acting was fine. The animation was nice and fluid. It's Blue Sky Studios, so don't expect something on Pixar or Disney's level.
A good animated movie. Don't expect something outstanding or anything like that and I feel like you'll have a nice time. Give it a go. This being nominated for Best Animated Film makes more sense than The Boss Baby.
The Boss Baby (2017): Took me a while to get used to Alec Baldwin's voice as a baby, felt too bizarre for first 20 mins or so. XD
If you accept the ridiculousness, it's an entertaining watch. Nothing special or great, but not bad either. Enjoyed the first half more than the second. Liked the animations style switch ups.
I just don't get how this got nominated and not The Lego Batman movie, or something else.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle
Review:
Well i have been waiting for this movie for ages now but finally saw it 2 days back when the print become available.
And i think in this kind of movie nobody really care much about the story but animations and scenes in this movie are really great. So if you are looking for a good story this one is not for you but if you are looking for a fun, if you are looking for Kevin Hart & Dwayne Johnson, if you are looking for some adventure, this one is surely for you. Well the story was predictable, the acting was not bad at all and overall this movie was a good one for me.
no doubt the movie was a little bit more over hyped, there were so many trailers, teasers, clips around the internet but still we can't expect too much from a movie with comedy genre and actors like Kevin hart and coExpected more...much more from Jumanji...I was left disappointed
same here, disappointedExpected more...much more from Jumanji...I was left disappointed
Priyanka Chopra has been able to make place in a very crowded Hollywood and her acting plus brains are the reasons she's been able to do that. I loved her in Barfi and have been her fan since. The girl's got some serious talent and as you she ain't all looks.BAYWATCH (2017)
~"Ring Ring"!
Light humor, eye candy, hot chicks and good fun. Totally unexpectedly, i really enjoyed it. Amazing cast. Alexandra Daddario's eyes. The Rock's biceps, and CJ's beautiful charm. 'That one dance move' at Leeds party is stuck in my head. Priyanka Chopra, beauty with brains, Funny how she single handily out shined every other character with much less effort. Kinda surprised with this one. 7/10.
