It was decided that he would be sending over his phone plus a difference amount in exchange for the HTC One. After a lot of discussion, it was decided that the difference amount would be Rs. 5,000 + shipping charges (Rs. 500).
Dragonheart786 received the phone in due course. He said that the phone was not in the condition which was described. I asked why and his response was that it had some marks on one of its sides. I asked him to write me an email in which he would mention his grievances in detail because I could not figure out why was he making such a fuss. Anyways, his email is as follows:
you can check condition by ur self and tell ur friend dont lie about the phone its clearly shown its opened for some reason 1.check light that is coming out to the right of home capacitive button touch is not in its place its shown only in low light 2.check pic whre power button is its shown some tool is used to open the phone 3.same with bottom side its not fit on its base 4.last but not the least side has that dent types that i was telling you on call 5.volume rocker botton is not in its place it keeps moving up and down
now you tell me if some one send you this kind of phone and your being told that its in mint condition how would you react how the f*** its in mint condition...(Yeah this would be the first thought wen box is opened) now tell your friend to send my money back 5500 tommarow...
No one is lying to you. You are simply suffering from buyers remorse. Thats all.
You should have had conducted an online search before accusing me/Rabie of anything suspicious. Everything except part 4 is completely irrelevant. Before proceeding, you should be aware of the fact that HTC likes making unibody designs which are beautiful to look at but difficult to manufacture. Everything that you have an issue against is something which is a manufacturing process derivative. Nothing can be done about it, its just the way the phone is made. I'm going to reply to your specific objections in the same order you've posted them.
4. This is the only one thing which you can say is a genuine concern, everything you've mentioned above is just buyers remorse. Anyways, as you would/should have known by now that the sides are made out of plastic. Plastic is prone to scratches/dents etc. Just like your S4 has a dent on its top right corner. I used a hard case with the phone. It is difficult to take off as you would know. While removing it to prepare the phone for shipping, these marks might have had appeared. Thats all, its as simple as that. However, there weren't as many marks as you are showing in the picture. I only remember a faint scuff on the lower bottom side. The picture you sent has marks in three distinct places. Rabie told me that you were repeatedly stressing the word "mint". The phone is in mint condition. The front and the back are perfectly 100/100. 3 of the 4 sides are perfect as well. The gaps you complain about are not something which happened due to usage etc., the phone was built that way. 1 side is imperfect, thats all. Here a link about other users complaining about the same issue: http://www.avforums.com/threads/htc-one-dont-use-the-htc-hard-shell.1754402/
You should also know that the S4 you sent is not as described either. In your thread, you mentioned: Front 10/10 Back 10/10 Screen 10/10 Chrome 9/10 (one spot on right up side) The back has numerous scratches and scuff marks. The chrome has small dents near the charging port. Heck, even the camera glass has dozens of scratches. You don't see me crying about these issues, you should buck up too.
Lastly, look, we had a fair deal. You were asking 38k+shipping for your phone. You paid 5k + shipping charges for the One. You mentioned yourself to Rabie that a person in the market quoted you 46k for HTC One. Lets say he would have had sold you that for 45k. You can do the math yourself. 38k+5k = 43k. You would have had perhaps bought a 100/100 phone for 45k. You instead received a 95/100 phone for 2k less. Its a fair deal through and through. It's ridiculous for you to expect me to return you the amount, you'd be valuing the HTC one for a mere 33k which is beyond ridiculous.
Also, you should read each and every one of the links I've attached. You would find that all of the users are complaining about the same issues as you are.
Regards.
The guy is being extremely touchy about things which are out of everyone's control. He is simply suffering from buyers remorse. It is unjustified for him to send over a negative trade score.
I would request the mods to look into this matter and resolve it please. I don't wish to tarnish my trade score. A deal was made, both people mutually agreed to it, the deal was conducted in a transparent manner. The buyer should have had conducted his due diligence about the phone and its issues/problems/grievances/whatever before engaging in it.
