      Gigabyte P35 & P45 based boards were excellent overclockers at lower vcore

      u mean u tried very same chip that u used in previous board and in new board but there was a difference in Vcore / stablity

      an update, 4.2 GHz with 1.30 vcore in Bios and 1.288 in CPUz
      temps. below 80C which is OK for this level of overclocking with Prime95
      temps. could be improved with high RPM Dual fans with TRUE 120

      below is overclocking conclusion of this rig:-

      3.6 GHz => 1.10 vcore

      3.8 GHz => 1.1375

      4 GHz => 1.20

      4.2 GHz => 1.30

      4.4 GHz => 1.45

      it is hyperthreading ... usman bhai disable it and u can clock same with lower vcore whne ur plus of 4ghz ...
      this lower vcore is due to superb cpu phase design ... n thats y till 4ghz ur phase is providing sufficient amps even on lower volts
      kuch apka i7 930 he special hai ... kuch board bhe zabardast ... ideal match hai!
      cause i bet even if i put my 920 in it it will still require more or less same volts for those clocks ...
      these newer 930 batches r much much better than old 920 ...
      but after 4ghz game becomes same! ...
