Celebrate Kirby’s 25th anniversary with new 3DS games
Several eShop games are on their way, starting today
Nintendo is celebrating Kirby’s 25th anniversary this year with a trio of 3DS games based on the pink puff ball.
The first is Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, a minigame that comes straight from 2016’s Kirby: Planet Robobot. A sort of Kirby-esque take on Super Smash Bros., the four-player fighting game is available right now on the Nintendo 3DS eShop as a free download.
Later this summer comes Kirby’s Blowout Blast, another 3DS eShop exclusive. It also made its debut last year as part of Kirby: Planet Robobot, although whether it will be a free download like Clash Deluxe is not yet known. It’s a fully 3D game that has Kirby running around a board to escape enemies and collect coins.
Finally, a “multiplayer action game” is coming to Nintendo 3DS this holiday season. That’s all Nintendo had to say about this third Kirby title for now, so expect more details — like a name, or screenshots, or any other information at all — sometime later this year.
