Are the G50-70 series and G510 different? I was under the impression that i5 was coming in two different SKUs: with and without dedicated graphics card.

The g50-70 is coming with a 1.6 ghz U series processor which is slower than the i5 4200m 2.5ghz coming in the G510 .........

Is the G50-70 (i5/dedicated graphics card) recommended for mid-end gaming and web browsing or the G510?

Go for g510 with 8750m and i5 4200m, U series processors are not good for gaming, 8750m will do low-mid end gaming....

There are no good local gaming laptops available which pack a punch.By current standards for good gaming performance anything below 860m is a no go.820m is a pos,840m has lazy ddr3 memory ,,heck even older 8850m is better than new 840m..

Anyways the cheapest laptop with 840m i could find is ASUS X555Ln
      ASUS X555LN - Core i5-4210U 15.6" HD Nvidia 840M 2GB 4GB 1TB (1 Yr. Local Warranty) Price in Pakistan - HomeShopping.pk

and the midrange housing gtx 860m is a sager for 119,000 via homeshopping(sad got to pay 20k additional over current msrp)

ANd the solid beast G751 series housing gtx 970m available for 1500$ from us here selling for around 180kk again homeshoping and those meh charges

I love mobile gaming and prefer laptops over desktops due to their mobility but the price makes you jump off a cliff :/

      Also, I would prefer a 740m over 840m, after that the 750m

      Hi guys...
      Nice thread..
Any suggestion for a laptop with 14'' display, having backlit keyboard under 45k.
It will be used for day-to-day work only. No gaming.
      Condition: New

Where are you getting it from and What is the exact model? Btw, I don't think a x40 gpu is good for gaming...Atleast buy a laptop with x60 gpu...
