Gaming zones are a kind of taboo in Pakistan. In the mind of most Pakistanis, people do not have the interest, time or money to go to such places. Whereas to parents, due to the stigma attached, gaming zones are places where teenagers go to do “buri cheezen”, fazool kharchi and smoke their heads off. However, for gamers, a gaming lounge is a sanctuary from the tensions of life and a place to hang out with like-minded individuals. It serves as not only a place for playing videogames but also place for them to lighten up, relax and divert their minds from miscellaneous stresses.
Unfortunately, gaming isn’t considered fruitful in Pakistan. Most gamers are teenagers looking to kill free time. Maybe this is why most ‘gaming lounges’ of Pakistan consist of 3-4 low spec PCs linked together in a dark cramped, dingy room. Disrupting this grim picture, are some entrepreneurs who have invested time, resources and energy into creating quality gaming zones in Lahore. So let’s take some time to explore those. Here are the top 3 gaming lounges in Lahore, according to my opinion:
Personally, I haven’t seen a gaming zone of the caliber of EV in Pakistan. EV possesses all the traits of an international gaming zone, and that’s why they rightfully get the number 1 spot in our rankings.
Located near the DHA cinema in DHA Phase 2, EV delivers a punch of magnificent features to their customers. They have 8 PS4s, 24 Xbox 360s and 10 PC’s (two PS4’s are linked to 43″ HD LEDs). Moreover, all their PS4’s and PC’s offer online compatibility as well. EV only uses original software in their PCs, going against the national norm of using pirated games.
The environment is pleasant and air-conditioned, and the lighting and décor is well thought out. This is highlighted in the layback couches (which are unique and comfortable), use of blue and green lighting, ample space to maneuver yourself and in-house food and refreshments on offer. They even sell gaming hardware if you want that.
Something that they do which is pretty cool is holding regular competitions and esports matches, which clearly speaks volumes about the level of quality hardware and management dedication that is on offer.
Between Monday and Thursday EV remains operational from 12 PM to 12 AM. Whereas on Fridays they open at 2:30 PM and close at 1 AM. On Saturdays they start off at 12 PM and close at 1 AM. Meanwhile on Sundays they open at 3 PM and close at 10 PM. Their charges are somewhat nominal. The hourly rate for one Xbox 360/PS4 is PKR 140, whereas they charge PKR 100 per hour for each PC.

This lounge is owned by one of our own lads, manigamer. Keeping all favoritisms side, his lounge is one of the best in Lahore and can give any gaming place a run for its money.
Located in block DD of DHA Phase 4, Gamer’s Revolution boasts next gen consoles. Equipped with an arsenal of 6 PS4’s and 4 Xbox Ones paired with 40″ LEDs, Gamer’s Revolution is the go-to choice for most gamers. Added benefit of the fact that their PS4’s offer online gameplay as well. The crowd is awesome and on most days you can find PakGamers’ members hanging around – who are always a delight to talk to. The place is filled with limited editions, collectibles, a massive games library and quality products on display. The place is a product of passion and it is a feast for any gaming fan.
From Monday to Thursday Gamer’s Revolution opens at 12:30 PM and closes at 11 PM. Meanwhile, during the weekend, they open at 3 PM and close at 11 PM.
Their charges of PKR 150 per hour are up to industry norms, and are justified by their exceptional service. Drinks are available inhouse, while a bunch of pizzerias and burger joints are scattered nearby.

Project X9 goes unmentioned in most gaming zone related talks, but not anymore. They’re in Liberty Tower’s basement, which is right opposite Pace on Link road. This gaming zone is also run by an ex-Team PG member and a current PG Xtreme GoldenHawk, and another PG vetern Jigger. Again, this places oozes of gaming pedigree since both the owners are hardcore gamers.
Quality gaming hardware, access to a mini-canteen, food allowed from outside, wireless sound bar installed so you can play your music are only some of the highlights. The ambiance is slightly dark but not enough to hinder your movement or cause issues.
They have an amazing set of 20 high spec PCs linked together for LAN play, while online compatibility is offered as well. Moreover, they have 6 Xbox 360s, 3 PS4s, 1 Xbox One and 1 PS4 Pro.
Every day, they open at 2 PM and close at midnight. Their hourly charges start from PKR 100, and go up as you upgrade to a higher spec console (such as from a 360 to an XBOX ONE).
