The World-Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) is an annual event in which Apple inc. shares the vision of their company for the coming year. This means that a lot of announcements and product upgrades are in line for this 5-day event. The vision is transmitted to the people through a new product or software for its ever-growing eco-system. Every year there is a lot of speculation about what to expect from this event. This year is no exception and so far, the following announcements are expected to be made.
Apple is expected to share its newest iteration of the popular iOS which powers up iPhones and iPads. According to Bloomberg, a significant change to the User Interface (UI) is expected, which would possibly enhance the aesthetics and usability of iOS. Apart from that, iOS 11 is also expected to ditch the 32-bit iOS devices, which would make iPhone5, 5C, iPad (4th Gen) and their predecessors incompatible for the update. For all the owners of those devices, it’s probably a time for an upgrade!
Siri Powered Speaker
According to Arstechnica, there is a great possibility that Apple would be launching a “Siri” powered speaker, which would be able to answer all your questions whilst sitting on a desk. There is no exact consensus on the specifications, however, expect something similar to the Amazon Echo or Google Home.
New 12” Macbooks and iPad Pro
These rumors are rather shaky, nonetheless they have been floating around for quite a sometime. There is a mild speculation about the refreshed 12” MacBook’s line-up with updated specs and minor tweaks. In case of the iPad, there is a possibility that Apple would launch a new 10.5” iPad Pro with thinner bezels and more power under the skin.
These are the main rumors that are currently circulating the tech world. However, it’s not long before we will see the outcomes of the actual conference. The countdown has already begun!
