PakGamers’ first app is now available on the Google Play Store and it is for everyone to have easy access to the shoutbox on their android devices on the go.
No more sitting alone at shadis wishing to get back home, thinking of a solution and not knowing the answer, waiting for light to comeback after load shedding, laying on bed before sleeping with mobile in your hand or getting bored in general. The funnest place to blabber about with your buddies is now available for you on android.
Using the shoutbox on my android device’s web browser has been a really annoying experience for me so I decided to create an app that will enable me to use the shoutbox in a classic messenger style application so I can use it whenever I want, on the go or when I have no electricity or wifi.
The app is really basic and only for using the shoutbox. When you first run the app you will be view a typical splash screen.
After the splash screen please wait for the shouts to load (you need an working internet connection for this application)
Next press the 3 dots on the top right (or the menu hardware button if your phone supports) to log in. Right now the only option available to you should be log in so click on that.
Next you’ll see the log in page. Enter your username in the top textbox and your password in the bottom one and press Sign In.
You will now be redirected to the page where you could have viewed the shouts. Please wait a couple of seconds and then press the 3 dots (or the menu hardware button) again as you did in step 3. You should see “sign out” written there instead of “log in”. This means you have successfully logged in. now you can type anything you want into the textbox at the bottom and press the shout button to send the shout. However if you still see the “log in” in the menu then there was an error trying to sign you in please try again.( remember to wait a few seconds before checking if your log in was successful)
That’s it now enjoy posting shouts on the shoutbox from wherever and whenever on your android device.
P.S. android doesn’t support gifs so i have to get around to find a way to implement emoticons in the app. But if someone has posted an emoticon you will able to see its name within 2 colons “:” like for you’ll see :Tv:. in the same way if you want to post an emoticon you can use it’s shortcut.
Suggestions and improvements are always welcome which can be posted in the thread or sent to email@example.com. Anyone willing to contribute to the development of this app in also welcomed.
